Overview

The 2023 Grand Cherokee comes with minor changes for the coming year after a complete redesign last year. It is going to feature an updated 10.1-inch infotainment touchscreen for the Limited and Overland trims. The 2023 Jeep Trailhawk edition is now available for sale only with the 4xe plug-in hybrid model and the larger V8 is also no longer on offer. Also, the Alpine stereo system can be had with any trim as a standalone option while the McIntosh audio system can be had as an option with Overland and Summit models.

The MSRP of 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee starts at $41,035 which means a price hike of $2,710 over the 2021 model year. Speaking of the rivalry, the Toyota 4Runner, the Kia Telluride, the Honda Passport, and the Ford Edge offer great value for money in the midsize SUV segment.

Buying Advice

The best trim among all is the 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited as it is a perfect mix of standard and optional features. The power at the pedal is as justifying as it can be and so is its off-roading thrust.

Comparative Analysis against Competition

The Grand Cherokee 2023 is known for its safety, build quality, and reliability quotient. The maintenance cost of $5,045 and a repair charge of $1,227 brings the 5-year cost of ownership value to around $52,090 which is on par with the segment standards. As far as depreciation in the resale is concerned, the value can go down by $25,001 for the Grand Cherokee Limited and $32,176 for the Overland trim, and $33,364 for the Summit Reserve configuration. The Grand Cherokee J.D. Power reliability rating of 82/100 is also among the best in the market.

Buying Advice

The best trim among all is the 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited as it is a perfect mix of standard and optional features. The power at the pedal is as justifying as it can be and so is its off-roading thrust.

The Grand Cherokee feels more spacious and roomy than the 4Runner. However, the second-row comfort of the Kia Telluride dominates the Grand Cherokee. The Jeep is also set to provide button layouts for all the essential features like climate control, and vehicle function that may look confusing at times due to their placements. Jeep Grand Cherokee interior 2023 has UConnect 10.1-in touchscreen infotainment display. It supports Amazon Fire TV which lets the user stream movies and online content.

Exterior
8.0/10

Jeep offers a sporty, muscular, and aggressive exterior with the large 2023 Grand Cherokee dimensions. The classic seven-slot front grille of the SUV looks appealing. It is more upright now than before. The slim LED taillights contribute to its aggressive profile. The Jeep Cherokee also provides a dual-tone exterior to enhance its look. The exterior design of each midsize SUV is distinct and speaks to an augmented audience. All the rivals provide similar ground clearance. The 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee does dominate over the Toyota 4Runner, Kia Telluride, and Subaru Outback in terms of wheelbase.

Competition
8.5/10

2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee vs 2023 Toyota 4Runner

Both the cars provide utmost reliability to consumers. Being in the market for a long, the brands have maintained their image regarding the durability of their vehicles. The 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee offers more configurations than the latter in terms of powertrains and performance. Also, the car is more spacious than its competitor. The 4runner offers more variety over the off-roading options. While the 2023 Grand Cherokee reliability is at par with that of the 2023 4Runner

2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee vs 2023 Honda Passport

The Honda Passport is available for sale at around the same price range but the Jeep Cherokee offers a more rugged and tough appeal. The Jeep is more capable off the tarmac and also feels more luxurious inside its cabin. There are more creature comforts on offer with the Jeep but the Passport offers a more spacious passenger and cargo area, in spite of being the smaller SUV here.

2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee vs 2023 Ford Edge

The Forde Edge offers stronger acceleration performance and better efficiency with the turbocharged engine. It is also the more spacious of the lot but the Jeep offers much more luxury amenities than the Ford. The Jeep also received many accolades and has impeccable reliability and safety ratings. That said, Ford isn't too far behind which makes it the preferred choice here between the two.

Final Verdict

The 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee is a solid off-roading package that is swamped with luxuries when properly specced. The interior is premium & well-built while the cabin also provides a comfortable ride. It's a perfect package for buyers who need a daily commuter and also a weekend thrill companion.
