Overview

The 2023 Honda Accord enters the 11th generation with a complete redesign this year. Honda's longest-running nameplate known for its dependability gets a new design language for both the interiors and its exterior. It is now longer, gets a fastback shape, and reshuffled trim configurations. There is also now more technology on offer and the Accord hybrid is also made accessible to a wider range of audience. The 2023 Honda Accord MSRP starts at $27,295 and it competes against the likes of the Toyota Camry, Hyundai Sonata, and Nissan Altima.

2023 Honda Accord for sale

The Honda Accord 2023 is available for sale with a monthly payment starting at $649 for a 48-month duration at 3.9% APR with no down payment required. The 2023 Accord lease deals start at $350/month for a period of 36 months and a 10,000-mile annual mileage limit with $3,399 due at the time of signing.

Buying Advice

The EX model has better adjustable seats that will provide a commanding driving position. The seats are heated as well which makes them suitable for the colder months. The EX model also gets the option of dual-zone climate control which makes the cabin a better place to be. The moonroof adds to the airy ness of the cabin. Taking into consideration the marginal price difference between models we suggest availing of the 2023 Honda Accord EX trim instead of the LX.

Comparative Analysis against Competition

The Honda Accord is known for its value-for-money offering and great resale value. Despite the generation update, the Honda Accord 2023 price still remains in check with the segment standards. While the new 11th-generation Honda Accord is yet to be tested, the older generation model received an 81/100 reliability rating from J.D. Power which is just 1 point behind the segment leaders. Expect the Honda Accord 5 year cost of ownership to be the same at around $38,999 as the previous model year

Fuel Economy
7.0/10

The 2023 Honda Accord is pretty fuel efficient at its heart and is estimated to continue the same MPG rating of 29/38 MPG from the previous year. The Honda Accord gas tank capacity is also expected to be the same 14.8-gallon which should offer 548 miles of maximum range.

Interior
7.0/10

The 2023 Honda Accord interior visibility is great due to the thin A-pillars that help provide a very airy cabin and the airiness is further accentuated by the moonroof. The company has used premium quality materials at all places, especially at the touch points and the cabin is designed in an ergonomic manner, as a result, reach to any levers, knobs or buttons does not require any effort. The Accord interior gets a new 12-inch infotainment screen for the hybrid models.

Honda Accord has always been equipped with a big trunk space and the history has thankfully repeated in this case with a 16.7 cu-ft storage area. In comparison, the Hyundai Sonata offers the most legroom in the front seats while the Camry offers the least measuring 42.1 inches. The Honda Accord has the biggest trunk, while the Toyota Camry offers the smallest trunk space measuring 15.1 cu-ft. The Hyundai Sonata offers a bigger space of 16 cu-ft as compared to the Nissan Altima’s 15.4 cu-ft of trunk space.

Exterior
7.0/10

The 2023 Honda Accord has a brand new opulent styling that enhances the Honda design philosophy. The front of the vehicle has an upright grille with blacked-out LED headlights that gives the car a subtle but aggressive sleek look. The hood is lightly sculpted and the front fascia includes a honeycomb mesh grille with the Honda logo in the center in chrome.

A single body line extends from the front to the rear of the vehicle which gives the vehicle a fluidic motion while emphasizing the 2.8-inch length increment. The fastback-styled roofline starts from the A-pillar and seamlessly integrates with the rear fascia where the broad taillights highlight the wider stance of the vehicle. The car sits on 17-inch alloy wheels as standard.

Safety
9.5/10

The 2023 Honda Accord has been designed such that it picks up the IIHS “Top Safety Pick +” and the 5-star rating from NHTSA. The Accord has always been referred to as one of the safest vehicles on the road and Honda has equipped the 2023 Accord with a long list of active and passive safety features that come as standard in all the models of the vehicle. The ACE body structure ensures maximum safety along with a new airbag system that ensures that traumatic injuries are avoided.

For the first time in its history, Honda has incorporated a rear passenger-side impact airbag and knee airbags as standard in all models. The Honda Sensing suite has been updated with a wider field of vision which enhances the collision prevention performance because it can easily recognize objects.

Some of the key safety features are

  • Adaptive cruise control with low-speed follow
  • Lane departure warning
  • Automatic city collision mitigation and braking
  • Traffic sign recognition
  • Blind spot information
  • Traffic Jam assist
  • Lane-keeping assist

2023 Honda Accord vs 2023 Toyota Camry

Both cars deliver similar kinds of fuel efficiency numbers with the Honda performing slightly better in the city while the Toyota performs better on the highway. However, the Toyota comes loaded with a bigger gas tank that provides it with a better range. Overall both the vehicles are fantastic machines but the Toyota gets the option of an AWD system which is not available for the Honda.

2023 Honda Accord vs 2023 Hyundai Sonata

The Honda is a way better performer as compared to the Hyundai Sonata in fuel efficiency. The Honda also handles really well, while the Sonata lags a bit in the steering feedback department so we are more inclined toward the Honda.

2023 Honda Accord vs 2023 Nissan Altima

The 2023 Honda Accord generates more power from a smaller engine. The Altima feels borderline sluggish due to the absence of a turbocharger but comes with an option of an AWD drivetrain that gives it an edge. Even reliability index is slightly better for Accord than Altima just like safety prowess. So, one should consider Accord between the two.

Final Verdict

Of course, you should buy the Honda Accord 2023. It is one of the best-looking bread-and-butter cars available in the market that comes with a reliable powertrain. The vehicle gives a lot of options and is equipped with excellent interiors that are borderline luxurious. The vehicle is quite reliable and has been on the market for more than 5 decades. The current 11th-generation Accord has been improved in every aspect and the car comes loaded with a lot of active and passive safety features that come as standard which makes it one of the safest cars on the market.

              Frequently Asked Questions

Will the 2023 Honda Accord offer an all-wheel-drive drivetrain?
While many manufacturers have started offering an AWD drivetrain even for their sedans to make it more lucrative against the rising popularity of the crossovers, Honda isn't expected to follow the suit. The 2023 Accord should continue to be offered in FWD guise only.
How much will the 2023 Honda Accord cost?
The 2023 Accord is expected to get a complete redesign next year and therefore should get a price hike. Expect a price range between $27,500 for the base LX trim and $40,000 for the top model.
What are the major changes expected in the 2023 Honda Accord?
Apart from the all-new exterior and interior design language, the 2023 Accord should also get a handful of new features. While the powertrain options should remain unchanged, the design language is expected to be similar to that of the new Civic.
What is the 2023 Honda Accord release date?
While Honda is yet to announce the official launch date of the 2023 Accord, with the current global chip shortage, expect it to reach the dealerships only in the first quarter of 2023.

One of the worst cars I've ever had

Pros - ["The shape is nice", "Comfortable", "Nice ok mileage"]

Cons - ["Automatic Braking safety issues", "Had it 9 months 10 times in shop trunk sometimes opens automatically", "The automatic Braking is dangerous idiot lights"]

I really like the style of this car but unfortunately I've had it in the shop approximately 10 times it will break automatically when you least expect it which is very dangerous It's a problem with a lot of these Hondas It's been reported to the National Safety. I did not buy this car to keep driving to the dealership to get maintenance on things that are wrong
