Overview

The 2023 Toyota RAV4 comes with a few changes including a new infotainment system and driver-assist technology across the lineup. While, the 203 HP 2.5L I-4 under the hood remains unchanged throughout the lineup with its towing capacity of 1,500 lbs and fuel economy of up to 35 MPG.

Starting RAV4 trim MSRP:

  • LE: $27,975
  • XLE:$29,485
  • XLE Premium: $32,375
  • Adventure: $34,170
  • Limited: $36,280
  • TRD Off-Road: $37,595

As far as rivals are concerned, the Honda CR-V challenges the power curve and the Mazda CX-5 sets the interior comfort standard. While the Nissan Rogue is one the best in terms of frugality in this segment.

2023 Toyota RAV4 for sale

The RAV4 2023 has been released for sale with a starting lease deal of $333/month for 39 months along with a $4,995 signing due. This signing due constitutes a sum of a down payment of $3,563 and $333 for 1st month.

Buying Advice

The RAV4 XLE Premium is the most balanced trim of all.

Comparative Analysis against Competition

The 2023 RAV4 features a great build quality and reliability index with a J.D. power rating of 82. On top of that, we just have to spend an average repair charge of $690 after 5 years of thrilling drive. A maintenance cost of $4,674-$5,220 as per trim specific is there for us to bear, that seems decent in all respect. Considering the depreciation in resale, the price can range from $12,588 for the LE configuration to $17,667 for the Limited trim.

Buying Advice

Premium XLE is the best trim among all.

4.0/10

The 2023 RAV4 MPG is rated at 27 MPG in cities and 35 MPG on the highway. However, it still is not the leader in this segment as Nissan Rogue features to be returning 30 MPG in city lanes and has 2 MPG more mileage on highways with which it goes 44 miles extra range.

On top of that, there is a power-adjustable driver's seat for XLE and other higher trims. Not just that, the Unique black exterior and interior trim is specifically reserved for TRD 0ff-Road trim as well. Unlike this, the GPS Scout Link is at your service no matter which cabin you sit in. Speaking of the cargo space, the 2023 RAV4 has a cushion of extra 11.7 cu-ft over the Mazda CX-5. But it struggles when compared to the CR-V's 6 cu-ft bigger cargo capacity.

Exterior
8.0/10

The 2023 RAV4 features active grille shutters along with that black hexagonal grille on the front. In the meantime, those 17-inch steel wheels come standard for you while the 18-inch alloy wheels become specific for the TRD Off-Road trim. The RAV4 TRD Off-Road even features those Off-road-tuned suspensions and a sunroof on top besides those power liftgate. Its configurations have got roof rails as well for you.

Competition
8.5/10

2023 Toyota RAV4 vs 2023 Honda CR-V

The Honda CR-V had its most recent makeover in 2017 and has impressively maintained its best-in-class ranking ever since. Simply put, the Honda's combination of rapid acceleration, ingenious storage options, and overall comfort is unbeatable for the RAV4. It just lacks an off-road variant, like the TRD Off-Road grade on the RAV4.

2023 Toyota RAV4 vs 2023 Mazda CX-5

Due to its optional turbocharged engine's powerful acceleration and agile handling, the Mazda CX-5 is the athlete in its class. Its streamlined style stands out from the competition and the interior's design and material quality go above and beyond expectations. However, the RAV4 has a larger cargo area, making it much more practical in accommodating luggage.

2023 Toyota RAV4 vs 2023 Nissan Rogue

For 2022, the Nissan Rogue underwent a complete redesign. Compared to the RAV4, you will receive a few more features for your money. We also praise the Rogue's spacious cargo area, high level of general comfort, and abundance of driver assistance and safety systems. But compared to the RAV4, the Rogue feels unrefined and gets noisy while cruising on the highway.

Final Verdict

The RAV4 2023 is surely one of the complete SUVs in the segment. Be it performance or trim variation, it does not disappoint you and so does its overall safety build. So, all in all, one can go for it without any hesitation.

Satisfied with my 2023 Toyota RAV3 Hybrid SE

Pros - The hybrid engine provides faster response, more power, and better fuel efficiency., The car looks stunning.

Cons - It should come with a version that has better engine or install a turbo charger., Please make a plugin hybrid as well.
