Overview

The 2010 Subaru Outback is a versatile and rugged SUV that offers excellent performance, safety, and comfort. It has a distinctive design and all-wheel-drive system that makes it perfect for drivers who want a car that can handle all types of terrains and weather conditions. The 2010 Subaru Outback competes with other midsize SUVs such as the Honda CR-V, the Toyota RAV4, and the Ford Escape. However, the Outback's standard all-wheel-drive system and raised ground clearance make it a unique option in its class.

The 2010 Subaru Outback comes in six trims: the 2.5i, 2.5i Premium, 2.5i Limited, 3.6R, 3.6R Premium, and 3.6R Limited. The 2.5i trims come with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 170 horsepower, while the 3.6R trims come with a 3.6-liter six-cylinder engine that produces 256 horsepower.

The Outback's performance is impressive for an SUV. The 2.5i trims come with a standard six-speed manual transmission, but a continuously variable transmission (CVT) is available as an option. The 3.6R trims come with a five-speed automatic transmission. The Outback's all-wheel-drive system provides excellent traction and stability on all types of terrains, making it a great car for all weather conditions.

The Outback's handling is responsive and agile, thanks to its well-tuned suspension and all-wheel-drive system. The steering is precise and offers good feedback, making the car easy to handle on twisty roads. The brakes are strong and provide good stopping power, making the Outback a safe car to drive in all conditions.

The 2010 Subaru Outback gets an EPA-estimated 22 mpg in the city and 29 mpg on the highway with the base four-cylinder engine and CVT. The six-cylinder engine has slightly lower fuel economy, with an EPA-estimated 18 mpg in the city and 25 mpg on the highway.

The Outback's interior is spacious and comfortable, with room for up to five passengers. The seats are supportive and offer ample legroom and headroom. The dashboard is well-designed and easy to use, with intuitive controls for the audio and climate systems. The trunk is also spacious, providing ample cargo space for everyday use.

The 2010 Outback's exterior is rugged and versatile, with a distinctive grille and roof rails that give it a unique look. The car's overall design is practical and functional, with a raised ground clearance that makes it perfect for off-road adventures.

The 2010 Subaru Outback has a five-star overall safety rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. The car comes with standard safety features such as antilock brakes, stability control, and front and side airbags. The all-wheel-drive system also enhances the car's safety by providing better traction and stability in all driving conditions.

The 2010 Subaru Outback is a reliable and versatile SUV that offers impressive performance, handling, and safety. Its rugged design and all-wheel-drive system set it apart from its competitors, while its spacious interior and practical trunk make it a great car for everyday use. With its excellent safety ratings and standard safety features, the Outback is a car you can trust to keep you and your passengers safe on the road.

Buying Advice

For 2010, we would recommend getting the 2.5i Premium trim of the Outback. For the added price, the trim adds 17-inch alloy wheels, foglights, rear privacy glass, eight-way power driver seat and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. We would also recommend getting the All-Weather package to completely round off your new SUV. Going a bit off track from the traditional color schemes, we liked the Cypress Green Pearl, Graphite Gray Metallic, and Harvest Gold Metallic exterior paint options for the Subaru Outback.
