Overview

Competing in the midsize SUV, the 2010 Mercury Mountaineer goes up against other notable names in the class, like the 2010 Buick Enclave and the 2009 Kia Borrego. Spread across 2 trims, the Mountaineer starts off at a base price of MSRP $29,480 and carries on to $37,180. Not all trims are built equal, however, as there are 2 powertrains on offer. Starting off is the 4.0L V6 and 5-speed automatic base engine. Making 210 horsepower and 254 lb-ft of torque, this engine makes the Mountaineer capable of accelerating from a standstill to 60 mph in just 8.8 seconds and carries the capability to tow 5,305 pounds. One can also opt for a bigger 4.6L V8 that is paired with the 6-speed automatic With 292 horsepower and 300 lb-ft of torque, this engine gets you a towing capacity of 7,220 pounds. When buying a 2010 Mountaineer one can expect an average price of $8996. However, average savings of up to $724 are common, in the good deals. With nearly 44 units available in 7 striking colors, browse from our selection and take your 2010 Mercury Mountaineer home today.

Buying Advice

Packing a set of powerful engines under the hood, the 2010 Mercury Mountaineer is a spacious SUV that not only drives agile although being truck-based, but also is spacious, and has quality seats, providing a comfortable journey. The cargo area is big too, capable of carrying most of your stuff for long tours, and the well-appointed cabin equips almost all required features. However, cost-cutting is clearly visible due to the usage of poor-quality materials in the interior, and the gauge cluster may force you to get powered spectacles. In short, it's a good SUV in the segment if you can go well with the negative aspects, and want a spacious, performance machine.

Cons - ["Big gas tank.", "Wheel drive"]

the leather and other interior materials are great quality and the navigation system is reliable and has power windows & moon & sun roof. The stereo is still the original and great sound. Has a 14 gallon gas tank & low maintenance if I keep up on everything!!
