Not a lot of information is available about the exact specs and technical differences between the three trims, but considering the visible cues, we think the LE would fit and cater to be your daily-use driver as it has the right amount of features to keep you entertained and safe at the same time. 

There are no official EPA estimates or MPG figures available for the Toyota Corolla Cross, but we do have few early assumptions based on some of its siblings who share similar powertrains as the Corolla Cross. We may expect 25 mpg in the city, 32 mpg on the highways, and 30 mpg for the combined use. It’s no wonder that Toyota’s engines are some of the most fuel-efficient engines and we expect the same from the Corolla Cross too.

On the efficiency forum, Kia Seltos stands as a clear winner, delivering the best range in the class with a 31 mpg combined while offering 29 mpg in the city and 34 mpg on the highway. Followed by the Honda HR-V, delivering 30 mpg in the combined use case. While both the competitors sport a fuel tank of 13.2 gallons, Kia Seltos offer a better range due to its impressive mileage. 

The interior of the 2022 Toyota Corolla Cross is pretty similar to that of its sedan sibling. Many of the in-cabin and design features were directly replicated from the Corolla Sedan. The moment we get behind the wheel, up front we have a 7-inch driver information display screen accompanied by another 8-inch infotainment screen in the middle, under which we have the air-conditioning controls. The cabin is filled with soft-touch materials with leather accents running through the dash. The front dash is very clean and simple with a dual-color tone all through the capacious cabin.

Since it's a crossover, cargo space would be a priority which was clearly visible in the Corolla Cross’s cabin. We do get 60/40-Split folding rear seats as standard. There is enough room to accommodate five people, although the rear room might be a concern for long-limbed individuals. All in all, the cabin is very elegant from a design standpoint and offers a generous amount of convenience stuff. Other features like the Sunroof, Dual-zone climate control, Softex-trimmed seats, and POwer adjustable seats can be availed for some extra bucks.

Of the lot, Kia Seltos offers a sufficient room and huge cargo space of 26.2 cubic feet which is quite larger than many of the crossovers in the segment. Also, the Honda HR-V looks spacious and has adequate cargo space to fit in all the essentials for a long weekend. Since the Corolla Cross built a completely new framework, the interior room dimensions aren’t available yet, but we would update them as soon as possible. So check out this space for updates. 2022 Toyota Corolla Cross: Infotainment and Connectivity

The Toyota Corolla Cross comes equipped with some familiar set of infotainment stuff that we find in the other Corolla models. It features a 7-inch infotainment screen which can be optioned up to an 8-inch screen. It has a JBL Sound system, USB and Bluetooth connectivity, SiriusXM Radio, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto compatibility.

The 2022 Toyota Corolla Cross is a well-designed crossover that looks versatile and modern. Though it has drawn inspiration from RAV4 and C-HR, one can’t really notice any of that as this design looks so fresh that it doesn't feel like a traditional Toyota SUV. The front fascia houses a distinctive black grille bordered by the sleek LED headlights on either side that flow through the sides. 

Black body panels are included on the sides and we have color-matched exterior mirrors and handles on either side. The rear Power Liftgate is optional and also available in the AWD badging if opted for the same. We do have LED Colour keyed rear lamps with curtain design.

In comparison, the Honda HR-V is the lightest, followed by the Corolla Cross. But surprisingly, the Corolla Cross is very much lighter considering it’s the longest and widest car of the competition. It measures 175.6 inches while the Seltos and HR-V measure 172 and 170.4 inches respectively. Also, the Corolla Cross has the best wheelbase out there while its ground clearance is unknown. The 2022 Toyota Corolla Cross is yet to undergo the Government safety tests and we have to wait for some more time until we get the scores.
