Overview

The 2015 Toyota Camry is completely redesigned in terms of exterior styling. Even the interior is revised to be more welcoming and comfortable. Toyota has also added advanced safety features for enhanced safety, while the steering and suspension are retuned for better handling than its predecessor. The 2015 Toyota Camry price starts at $22,970 and an additional $825 is levied as destination charge.

Featuring a 4-trim lineup of LE, SE, XLE, and XSE, the 2015 Toyota Camry MSRP can be an expense of $23,795-$26,975 this season. Having said that, it simply translates to the fact that the range-leader 2018 Toyota Camry XSE will cost you $3,180 more than the 2015 Toyota Camry LE for enhanced specs and assets.

We Recommend

We would like to recommend the 2015 Toyota Camry XSE model for the list of features and specifications on offer. However, if on a tight budget then the 2018 Toyota Camry SE would be a decent option.

Under the hood, the Camry 2015 gets a 2.5-liter engine offering 178 horsepower. The 3.5-liter engine with 268 hp is available on the XLE and XSE V6 trims. The 2015 Toyota Camry interior is commodious with a cargo space of 15.4 cubic feet. The standard engine offers a gas mileage of up to 28 mpg (combined). The 2015 Toyota Camry Hybrid is more fuel efficient, offering up to 40 mpg (combined). The Camry is more powerful than the Chevrolet Malibu, lighter than the Honda Accord and has a higher ground clearance than the Hyundai Sonata.

2015 Toyota Camry for sale

The 2015 Toyota Camry LE can be leased for a term of 36 months with $328/month and $2,398 due at signing along with an annual mileage limit of 10,000 miles. The same model can be financed for a term of 48 months for as low as 3.49% APR with $505/month and $2,398 down payment. The final APR can be lower or higher depending on the credit score profile of the customer, term duration and additional offers.

For budget-oriented buyers, the used 2015 Toyota Camry can be availed of with a base price of $8,500. Going for older model years like the 2014 Toyota Camry could be a matter of $2,999 and Toyota Camry 2013 can cost as much as $4,499 along with a listing of up to 23,754 in total.

Buying Advice

We would recommend the SE trim if you’re on a tight budget otherwise, the XSE trim makes the most sensible option among the trim levels.

Comparative Analysis against Competition

Riding on the immense success of the trusted Corolla sedan, Toyota decided to step up the game with a bigger sedan, the Camry. The 2015 Toyota Camry is part of the XV50 model of the sedan and will receive a complete redesign for the same model year as well. The update is focused majorly on the cosmetics department and the sole mechanical bit that received a retouch would be the suspension system. The car will retain its powertrain and transmission options from the pre-facelift model and will come at a starting price of $22,970.

Buying Advice

We would recommend the SE trim if you're on a tight budget otherwise, the 2015 Camry XSE trim makes the most sensible option among the trim levels. The new XSE trim features a sports suspension unit, 18-inch alloys, and also plenty of interior feature enhancements including the front leather seats with more side bolstering and also a new three-spoke steering wheel with paddle shifters, all for a nominal price tag of $26,150.

Features
8.0/10

The 2015 Toyota Camry is offered in a total of four trim levels starting from the base LE trim. The starting price of the midsize sedan is set at $22,970, while the top-most Camry XLE trim is priced at $31,370, and it gets two engine options- a base I-4 and a 3.5-liter V6. The drivetrain layout is restricted to FWD only and the transmission option is also limited to a single 6-speed automatic unit.

The Hyundai Sonata has almost similar fuel economy figures to the Camry and impresses since it performs better than the Camry in every aspect. The Honda Accord and the Chevrolet Malibu are also not far behind with almost similar fuel economy ratings. The Malibu offers the best city mileage among the rivals here.

Interior
9.0/10

The 2015 Toyota Camry gets one of the most comfortable cabins in the segment and truly impresses us considering its price tag. The front seats offer superb comfort levels and the higher trims offer electronic adjustment as well. The rear seats are quite comfortable and the abundant headroom is sure to make tall adults comfortable too over long trips. The Camry interior design is simple yet elegant and the controls are easy to operate from the driver’s seat.

The storage spaces inside the cabin are adequate and the cargo capacity is average at 15.4 cu-ft. The Hyundai Sonata offers the maximum headroom for the front seat passengers and offers slightly more trunk space of 16.3 cu-ft. The Honda Accord interior has one of the best designs in the segment and matches evenly with the Camry in terms of cabin space.

The Camry comes with a standard 6.1-inch touchscreen infotainment display which incorporates Toyota’s Entune system. The user interface is smooth and user-friendly, offering most of the basic infotainment and connectivity features as well. The system comes mated with a six-speaker sound system along with a CD Player and a USB/iPod interface.

Exterior
6.0/10

The 2015 Toyota Camry gets a new exterior design and it looks a bit aggressive owing to the wide and blacked-out front grille design along with a single chrome bar placed in the middle carrying the brand logo. The side profile looks smooth and streamlined with a tastefully sculpted line emerging from the rear doors and blending into the rear fenders. The windows get chrome inserts along the borders while the rear end looks stylish with the new taillights.

The Hyundai Sonata carries a smart design language with a chrome front grille and sleek headlamp units flanking it nicely. The Chevrolet Malibu has a decent exterior design too but lacks the aggressiveness and the smart appeal of the Camry and the Sonata. The Honda Accord is the most handsome sedan here with some sleek yet stylish design cues on the exterior.

The NHTSA gave it a perfect 5-star rating and got the Top Safety Pick award from the IIHS as well. Some of the standard safety techs include stability and traction control, front and rear side airbags, front and rear side curtain airbags, front knee airbags, a rearview camera, and an ABS system.

Competition
8.0/10

2015 Toyota Camry vs. 2015 Hyundai Sonata

Because the Camry is so well established within the mid-size sedan segment, Hyundai has priced the Sonata a bit cheaper while providing more power and exciting acceleration. In fact, the engine technology is quite superior when you understand that it also manages to return better fuel efficiency and has less harmful emissions than the Toyota.

The Camry is a bit more spacious in the back while the Sonata has better cargo capacity as well as features. But at the end of the day, the Camry turns out to be more reliable in the long-term and hence would be our pick.

2015 Toyota Camry vs. 2015 Honda Accord

The competition gets very interesting when you start comparing the Honda Accord to the Camry because both of these cars have represented the best value and reliability. The Accord is a bit better to drive and is also much faster in terms of acceleration.

Fuel efficiency is nearly on par but the Honda has a slight edge while delivering equally well in terms of the interior as well as cargo space. We would argue that the Accord fares a bit better in terms of safety and hence it would be very hard to pick between the two in any aspect other than brand loyalty.

Final Verdict

The 2015 Toyota Camry is an excellent all-rounder in the segment and brings a lot to the plate at a competitive price point. The sedan also offers a handsome set of features and the higher trims get enough tech to satisfy most of your needs. For the enthusiasts out there, the Camry also comes in a V6 variant along with a sport-tuned suspension as well. Overall, the Camry would be a sensible choice if you’re looking for a comfortable and feature-rich sedan along with excellent safety and reliability.

              Awesome camry

Pros - ["Sleek look", "Dependability", "Interior lacks"]

Cons - ["Lacks power", "Leather seat cracked", "Seats don't cool"]

Great car. Has a very smooth ride. Lacks in power but more than nakes up for it in style. The MPG are awesome on the highway and in the city. I don't like the leather in the summer. No mechanical issues and 150000 miles still runs quite and smooth

              Hard Not to Love!

Pros - ["Superb Reliability", "Great Gas Mileage"]

Cons - ["Dated infotainment center", "Manual is vague on when to flush trans fluid"]

As a young college student living far from home, this car has pretty much everything I could ever need. I have a well loved 2016 Camry Hybrid SE and it offers a spectacularly reliable drive at currently a little over 130,000 miles. The AC is terrific, electronics are great, Ive never blown a fuse, the OEM Panasonic battery is still kickin, and all else is in perfect running condition. With a hybr...
