Though the Fusion has always been a good value for money proposition, with its second-gen update in 2013, the Fusion further polished its core essentials. Thanks to the bunch of new modern features, new and powerful engines and an elegant new design brought by its second-generation. Still fresh in its current generation though, the 2015 Ford Fusion doesn’t get any major changes.
We would recommend going with the SE trim as it has slightly better features and is more premium than the standard model. Couple it up with the AWD system and the Fusion SE also gains some good weather-proofing.
The only addition is the AWD on the SE model which was previously available with the top model only. With a starting MSRP of $22,500, the 2015 Ford Fusion is not only an affordable car, but it is also a handsome, comfortable, and quite a luxurious car in the segment. It has a premium cabin, handles well, has energetic powertrains, and a long list of features as well. The available AWD in this segment is another feather on the Fusion’s hat. Despite its wholesome proposition though, the Ford Fusion does face stiff competition from the likes of Honda Accord, Toyota Camry, and Chevrolet Malibu.
The 2015 Ford Fusion comes in just three trims, which means there is not a variety of trims, but this on the other hand means that all the three trims are well equipped and offer more features and would not confuse the buyer. The base trim is the S trim and comes just in the FWD drivetrain which comes for $22,835, the next two trims are SE and Titanium both come with optional AWD and the SE comes for $24,370, while the top trim is priced at $31,115.

We would recommend going with the SE trim as it has slightly better features and is more premium than the standard model. Couple it up with the AWD system and the Fusion SE also gains some good weather-proofing.
The base engine in the 2015 Ford Fusion is not something to boast about as obviously it is not a sports car. It is a 2.5-liter Inline-4 naturally aspirated engine which produces 178-horsepower and identical torque figures. While the previous version had an option to choose between a manual or automatic six-speed transmission, this year you are left with the automatic six-speed, as the manual transmission has been scrapped.
The top Titanium trim comes with a more powerful 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine that has a turbocharger fitted to it, and being an Inline-4 unit, it matches the power that is offered by a V6, it produces 240-horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque. It is paired with the same six-speed automatic, but it works well with this engine and the gear shifts are more snappy, and you can use the engine at its full potential. The Fusion also has less body roll than we see in some rivals. There is also an option of AWD which allows for better traction in harsh weather conditions.

What makes Fusion better than the rest of the cars in the segment is the handling and ride quality of the car. The steering is sportier than what you would find in the rivals of the day, and the suspension is made with a combination of front struts and rear multi-link suspension which makes the ride stable and composed and keeps the occupants relaxed at all times. Each competitor in the segment makes use of a 2.5L inline-4 unit to power its performance and it is the Honda Accord that bears distinction with its CVT setup. Among its rivals though, the 2015 Chevrolet Malibu has more power on offer, and apart from the Fusion that takes 8.8 seconds, every other car reaches 60 MPH in 8 seconds and also has almost identical quarter-mile timing.
While there is a lot to appreciate about the Ford Fusion, a drawback, and a major one is the below-average MPG figures of the standard four-pot engine. While there are hybrid versions available you have to spend a lot more than what you would pay for the standard version and in return for this extra sum of money you get excellent mileage.
The standard engine offers 22 MPG in the city, 34 MPG on the highway, and 26 MPG in combined driving conditions. It comes with a 16.5-gallon fuel tank which allows for a maximum range of up to 430 miles under mixed driving conditions. The turbocharged engine offers more power, but there is no change in the MPG figures, which is a good thing, as usually more power results in less fuel economy.

Among the segment rivals here, the 2015 Honda Accord offers the best in class MPG figures of 31 MPG and also has the biggest fuel tank of 17.2-gallons which helps it to offer the best range. Fusion fails to impress in this section as it offers below-average fuel economy and being such a good car, this feels like a big disappointment. The Toyota Camry and Chevrolet Malibu manage better performance in this aspect compared to the Ford and average combined range of 476 and 458 miles, respectively.
The 2015 Ford Fusion manages the available space quite well, and not only is the interior spacious, but it is also well organized and comfortable too. There is enough space for up to four adults inside, while a fifth adult can also be squeezed in. The cloth upholstery of the base trim gives an inexpensive look, so it is better to go for the leather upholstery. The buttons and knobs perform well, and the cabin is well insulated so there is minimal road noise.
The piano black finish can be a bit irritating at times as it is prone to getting scratches, other than that the interior panels and materials are fitted well. The doors open wide enough and the high-placed and well-cushioned seats further allow for better entry and exit. The sloping roofing gives a good look to the exterior and does minimal damage to the headroom of the car.

While Toyota has the best in class rear legroom and headroom among the pack here, the Ford Fusion manages to offer the best interior proportions. The 2011 Fusion offers ample space to relax on your long road trips. Even in terms of practicality, it offers you a healthy 16.0 cu-ft of cargo space which should be more than enough for most of your weekend packages. The Chevrolet has a marginally higher cargo capacity of 16.3 cu.-ft, while the Honda gets you similar space as the Ford.

The 2015 Ford Fusion gets a MyFord touch screen system which is quite intuitive to operate. However, you will need some time to get used to it. The infotainment screen is not the brightest out there and its responsiveness is also not up to the mark. However there is a piece of good news, you can operate the functions of the system with the help of voice commands which makes most of the tasks easier.
The size of the screen is 8-inches and it is paired as standard with a 4-speaker sound system, however, the number of speakers increases as you move the trim, in the SE trim you get 6-speakers and in the top trim you get 12-speakers from Sony, few other highlights of the infotainment system include:

The 2015 Ford Fusion is one of the best-looking cars in the segment, and there is no doubt about it whether it is the interior or exterior in question. The Fusion beautifully balances elegance and character on its skin. Upfront you get the hexagon grille which is placed between the headlights and the fog lights.
The front grille is a unique design that seems like a blend of a grille of Hyundai and Aston-Martin, but it looks more inclined towards the design of the Aston. The rear comes with a set of LED taillights and the sloping roofline reflects the design of a more premium sedan. View it from the side and the long window line along with a muscular shoulder-line add up to its premium presence on the streets.

Talking design and proportions in the segment here, the 2015 Toyota Camry is the lightest, while the Fusion is the heaviest weighing 3,431 lbs. This explains the low MPG figures, a wider wheelbase of 112.2 inches and the long length of the Fusion of 191.7 inches also explains the better interior space it has on offer. The Camry has the highest ground clearance of 6.1 inches so you would not be worried much about it scraping on bumps or rough patches of the road. The new 2015 Fusion does not have many changes made to it, and in all honesty, it does not require any changes, while the lack of a manual transmission seems like a disappointment and the slightly below average MPG figures are something to consider, the 2015 Ford Fusion is an allrounder with a well-appointed package that is surely worth your money.

For a long time drive with ford fusion 2015 not comfortable of sitting position. According to the big body of car trouble time of watching around. However power and Gas Milage is totally great for Gig worker.
