Overview

The 2015 Honda Civic Sedan remains unchanged with its 143 hp 1.8L I-4 engine but now welcomes an all-new Special Edition in its belt. Starting at an MSRP of $19,325 for the LX, the Honda Civic EX 2015 price goes up to $22,025 while the remaining submodels such as the EX-L and HF pump the investment accordingly. Returning an impressive mileage of up to 41MPG, it continues to be generous in its operation pay-offs.

2015 Honda Civic Buying Advice

The Honda Civic Sedan 2015 has new trim but the performance remains the same across the lineup. Even the safety built, standard interior assets and overall technology go at par with the 2014 MY. Therefore, one can go either for the 2015 MY or the predecessor as the price gap is minimal.

Be it the starter 2015 Honda Civic LX or the range-topping 2015 Honda Civic EX L, its power punch of 110 MPH is going to be as it is against the likes of the Ford Focus, Chevy Cruze, and the Hyundai Elantra. However, one does not need to settle as the brand has the Honda Civic SI 2015 at $22,890 and 45 MPG efficient 2015 Civic Hybrid at $25,570 on offer as well.

2015 Honda Civic for sale

The 2015 Honda Civic LX is up for sale at a monthly payment of $323 for 36 months which can decrease to $174/month for 72 months. That being said, the Civic EX is available too for the financing of as high as $425/month for 36 months.

Buying Advice

The Civic EX-L is the best offering thanks to its top-end interior convenience and premium touches all around. Though the performance is consistent but one tends to have much more elaborated interior engagement with this trim and a long drive won't be fatigued in any situation. While the safety suite gets a level up as well in this edition over the lower ones.

Comparative Analysis against Competition

The 2015 Honda Civic Sedan continues to glitter in its age-old stature with a perfect balance between the 143 horsepower and 39 MPG peak mileage. Having been introduced within a price range of $19,325-$23,675, the drive remains insulated for the insider with fine vibration-damping all over the place while having a massive turn-out of events on a comfort basis from LX to EX-L edition.

The Honda Civic 2015 is a typical sedan with a maintenance charge of up to $4,000 for the base LX trim alongside a repairing payment of not more than $2,500 in 5 years of pure throttling. In addition, the Honda Civic LX 2015 is going to cost you as much as $7,000-$7,500 in refueling which goes unchanged for the Honda Civic 2015 EX L and EX as well. Also, a depreciation of $9,000 at the least is certain to blow your pocket after these 5 years.

Features
7.0/10

The 2015 Honda Civic Sedan trim lineup now extends to 5 configurations that begin with the LX edition at an MSRP of $19,325. The 2015 Honda Civic LX variant gets a 5.0-inch infotainment screen w/iPod & USB interface along with a 4-speaker audio system and cloth upholstery for the seats. The next one is the Honda Civic HF costing $20,875 for assets like the aerodynamic cast-aluminum wheels, low-resistance tires, and rear spoiler as extras over the LX.

The production belt has been joined by the Special Edition(SE) which is priced at $20,825 for individual virtues like the Honda LaneWatch, 6-speaker audio unit, and many more. While the 2015 Honda Civic EX specs the functionalities of the 7-inch touchscreen display with HondaLink and Lane departure warning for a $22,025 pay-off. And, the Honda Civic EXL features the best-in-class leather interior touches, heated front row seats, and 17-inch alloy wheels for an expense of $23,675.

As per data, the 2015 Civic is 1 MPG more efficient than the Ford Focus and has a 0.8-gallon bigger tank size, together which allows it to have 37 miles better combined range. The Hyundai Elantra, though, is at par with the Civic in fuel economy, it still lags behind the latter by 13 miles in combined range reach comparison.

Interior
8.9/10

The 2015 Honda Civic interior is an ambiance with a cloth seating surface for its LX, SE, and HF trims that upgrades to a leatherette finish for the EX L interior. Not just that, the Honda Civic 2015 EX L has got a power driver seat along with power heating for the front row as its inherent virtue.

Moreover, the interior 2015 Honda Civic features the power sunroof from EX onwards while the automatic climate control gets standardized for the SE, EX, and EX-L. There is a mix of exclusivity in the meantime too as the 2015 Civic EX-L lets you lay your hands on the leather-wrapped steering wheel.

Based on the data, the Civic 2015 has 3 inches extra rear legroom over the Ford Focus and the Hyundai Elantra, making the 2nd row much more comfortable to seat. However, the Elantra can be more practical in loading cargo with its 2.3 cu-ft more cargo volume. Apart from that, we have the 5.0-inch infotainment screen on offer for the base LX configuration.

The Honda Civic 2015 sedan gets more tech-packed as we choose the EX and EX-L trims with their 7-inch touchscreen display having HondaLink & Siri Eyesfree in addition. And, the 6-speaker audio system plays your musical tunes all day long. Unfortunately, the Honda Civic HF and LX have nothing more than the 4-speaker audio, Bluetooth & Pandora Radio.

Some of the notable interior features are:

  • Electric Power Steering
  • Interior Air Filtration
  • Automatic climate control unit
  • Leather upholstery
  • Heated and ventilated front seats
  • 4/6-speaker audio
  • Bluetooth & Pandora Radio
  • HondaLink

Exterior
8.9/10

The 2015 Honda Civic LX has been designed to be a sober family sedan that rides on standard 15-inch steel wheels whereas the Special Edition(SE) owns the all-new 15-inch alloy wheels. As we climb up the order, the aerodynamic cast-aluminum wheels along with low resistance tires and a rear spoiler on the back tend to fashion themselves from the Honda Civic HF onwards.

The Honda Civic 2015 EX L further enhances the feature list with the 17-inch alloy wheels, automatic headlamps & power sunroof. Fortunately, the automatic headlamps & power sunroof are there for the Civic EX as well but this trim has to have a smaller tire size fir for only 16-inch alloy wheels. And its 7 exterior colors including the Silver on the Civic 2015 make it stand apart in the queue.

In terms of figures, the 2015 Honda Civic's weight is the least among all, that being 330 lbs lighter than the Chevy Cruze and 181 lbs less than Ford Focus. This helps it to have lower lateral force while taking turns on the corners, thereby, assisting in better stability. The Civic has 0.6 inches higher ground clearance than the Focus as well which safeguard its lower platform from gravels.

Some of the notable exterior features are:

  • Sunroof
  • Chrome Fenders
  • 15-inch alloy wheels
  • Rear Spoilers
  • LED Headlamps
  • Metallic Tailgates

Safety
9.3/10

Th 2015 Honda Civic is one of the most structurally sound sedans with a safety rating of 5-star by the NHTSA and "Good" by the IIHS. It has been rated in the "Top Safety Pick" award as well for its holistic safe driving persona. Some of the notable safety features have been mentioned below that surround its aluminum and high-grade steel chassis:

2015 Honda Civic vs 2015 Ford Focus

The 2015 Honda Civic Sedan has got an edge over the 2015 Ford Focus in terms of fuel economy and range reach but feels sluggish in its performance curve. The same stays true for it in the cabin roominess as well, however, the Civic can be a little less in its cargo capacity. As far as tech-ends and interior ambiance are concerned, both are pretty much parallel to one another.

2015 Honda Civic vs 2015 Chevrolet Cruze

The Honda Civic Sedan 2015 has been introduced to stay better than the Chevy Cruze in the performance dynamics and mileage at the same time. However, the Cruze fulfills its driving pursuit with a far better range coverage than the former and so is the cargo volume, thereby, improving the practicality index. But holistically it is the 2015 Civic that has got a superior proposition.

2015 Honda Civic vs 2015 Hyundai Elantra

The Civic Sedan and the Hyundai Elantra are some of the gems in the segment that have pioneered the space with their generous power surge, range economy, and build quality. That being said, it becomes obvious that the Elantra enjot=ys better acceleration while the Civic is more frugal. While the exterior appeal and trim lineup are as equally elaborated as they can be.

Final Verdict

The 2015 Honda Civic Sedan is surely a fit for many as its family-friendly stance with proper fuel frugality is just top-notch. The reliability quotient and drive quality are also at par with the standard along with well-positioned powertrain configurations across the lineup. Hence, one should keep it in high regard.
