Overview

The 2014 Lexus RX 350 is a technologically advanced crossover vehicle that serves as a mobile command center, well equipped with the latest in-vehicle technology to help keep you informed and safe. Designed for safety, comfort, and maximum performance, the new RX 350 now features improved performance and fuel efficiency, as well as extensive styling enhancements that will leave you speechless.

Buying Advice

It is better to go for the Standard trim over the F Sport; the rides are neither sporty nor firm. You'll appreciate the luxurious and safety features offered with the base model, but we recommend spending some extra money on the Mark Levinson audio system to make it an immersive experience.

Comparative Analysis against Competition

Configured with great options like a 3.5L V6 engine, power moonroof, and a 7-inch LCD display, you will be able to sit back in style. It competes against other mainstream luxury crossovers like the Buick Enclave, BMW X3 and Lincoln MKX.

Features
8.0/10

Lexus offers the 2014 LX 350 in two different trims, Standard and F Sport. Its Standard edition will set you back $39,760, while the F-Sport model will set you back $47,450. Feature-wise, both offer keyless entry, a CD player with Bluetooth, a power tailgate, as well as 10-way power-adjustable seats. Furthermore, you can also choose from premium, luxury and display audio packages to further enhance your experience.

The Enclave manages the same fuel economy as the MKX, with an average combined mileage of 20 MPG, the lowest in its class. On the other hand, the BMW X3 has the best fuel economy in the segment, rated at 24 miles per gallon, and also has the smallest fuel tank, measuring 17.1 gallons.

Interior
9.0/10

The 2014 Lexus RX 350 interior has an air of luxury. From the jet black leather upholstery to the easy-to-use switchgear, you notice a sense of solidity and build quality that's missing in other vehicles in this class. In addition, the RX350 is quiet inside. The engine is muted, and road noise is low. Overall, the RX350's comfort is impressive.

The spacious interior can comfortably fit 5 people, and although the front seats could use a little more support at times, the rear seats are comfortable and adjustable on a level to suit individual preferences. The lack of a third row might be a disappointment to some users, but rather it allows you to load more gear into your trunk.
