Overview
The 2014 model year of the Cadillac SRX, the automaker's premium midsize SUV offering is a carryover from last year given that it received a major facelift then, the first time since the introduction of its second generation. The already revised styling now enjoys the inclusion 18-inch wheel option available on the luxury trim and the addition of IntelliBeam headlights on the Driver Awareness package. A few new exterior paint options including Graphite Metallic, Terra Mocha Metallic, and Sapphire Blue Metallic, and a new optional interior accent package are also part of the 2014 model year updates.
The trims range remains identical to the previous model year with four available options including the base. A 3.6L is the sole engine option available now, as with the previous model year, and sending the power to the front or all four wheels is a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. Note that the base trim is only available in front-wheel drive configuration while the rest of the pack gets AWD as an option. The starting prices are marked at $37,505 while the AWD setup would cost over $2,700 over the base front-wheel drive configuration. At this price range, the main competitors to the 2014 SRX would be the Lexus RX350, the Infiniti QX60, and the Lincoln MKX.
