Overview

Competing in the midsize luxury SUV, the 2024 Lexus RX 350 goes up against other notable names in the class, like the BMW X5, the Mercedes Benz GLE, and the Porsche Cayenne. Spread across 4 trims, the RX 350 starts off at a base MSRP of $48,550 and carries on to $62,750. Not all trims are built equally, however, as there are 3 powertrains on offer based on the trim. The standard engine is a 2.4L turbocharged inline-4 rated for 275 horsepower and 317 lb-ft of torque resulting in a 0-60 in 8.2 seconds. The exact information about the more potent engine options is not out yet but we know there will be a second engine for the RX 350h model which is a 2.5L inline-4 hybrid system. Mated to a continuously variable transmission, the engine makes 246 horsepower. Also, there will be a performance-oriented RX500h F Sport Performance model that will sport a 2.4L turbocharged inline-4 hybrid engine good for producing 366 horsepower and 406 lb-ft of torque.

Buying Advice

The 2024 Lexus RX 350 is a great contender for the midsize SUV segment. It may be confusing for some people but also a good thing that RX 350 comes in several trims and configurations so you can choose better. The base Lexus RX 350 is not the quickest car in the segment if we compare it with the Mercedes Benz GLE or Porsche Cayenne. Also, it has a reasonably big cargo space if we compare it with the BMW X5 although Mercedes has a bigger one. It is considered the Top Safety Pick+ for the safety features which makes it a reasonable choice to consider if you are choosing to own one.
