Overview

The 2016 Chevrolet SS Sedan makes for an excellent contender in the midsize sedan class. With just one trim on offer, the 2016 Chevrolet SS has a base MSRP of $46,575, competing directly with the Cadillac CTS V-Sport and the Dodge Charger R/T. Only a 6.2L V8 engine is offered, mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission or a 6-speed manual transmission. Together, they produce 415 horsepower and 415 lb-ft of torque. Accelerating from 0-60 in 4.9 seconds with the automatic and 4.7 seconds with the manual transmission, the SS maintains a combined fuel economy of 17 MPG with both transmissions. Chevrolet offers the SS in 9 stunning colors, with the Heron White being a particular favorite of ours. 

Buying Advice

SS models with automatic transmissions and optional power sunroof might suit you if you enjoy pleasant drives and occasional sprints. Skip the sunroof and choose the manual if you're constantly breaking the law.
