Overview

The 2015 Chevrolet SS Sedan is a midsize sedan offered as standalone trim with a base MSRP of $45,745. For that price, it mainly competes with the Dodge Charger R/T Scat Pack Sedan, the Hyundai Genesis 5.0 sedan, and the Ford Taurus SHO sedan which hails from the fullsize sedan segment. The SS offers a single powertrain with two transmissions. It is a 6.2L V8 making 415 horsepower and 415 lb-ft of torque. However, there is a choice between a 6-speed automatic transmission and 6-speed manual transmission. The SS reaches 60 mph from zero in 4.9 seconds with the automatic transmission, which gets pumped up to 4.7 seconds with the manual transmission. Regardless of the transmission, the SS manages a combined fuel economy of 17 mpg. While we're on the topic of choices, the 10 striking colors the SS comes in really pull you towards itself.
