Overview

The 2017 BMW X4 SUV is a proud member of the midsize SUV segment, locking horns with cars like the Porsche Macan, the Volvo XC60, and the Audi Q5. Spread across a standalone trim, the X4 starts off at a base price of MSRP $45,550. Its 2.0L turbocharged Inline-4 and 8-speed automatic transmission give the SUV 240 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. With that, it manages a 0-60 of 6 seconds and boasts a towing capacity of 3,500 pounds. Moving to fuel economy, the BMW X4 manages to get a combined EPA rating of 23 MPG, a number that is great for the class and highly improves the BMW X4's practicality. It also has a ground clearance of 8.0 inches.

Buying Advice

The base trim xDrive28i is offered with the optional M Sport package ($2,300) and the Premium package ($2,200). While the former package with the M Double-Spoke Light alloy and an increased top speed limiter, the latter includes the extra lumbar support, keyless entry system, etc for that added convenience.
