Overview

The 2017 BMW M2 makes for an excellent contender in the subcompact coupe. With standalone trim on offer, the BMW M2 has a base MSRP of $52,500. It competes directly with the less powerful Audi TTS coupe. Meanwhile, indirect rivals from the compact coupe segment are the Jaguar F-TYPE and the Porsche 718 Cayman. Only a 3.0L Turbo Inline-6 engine is offered, mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. Together, they produce 365 horsepower and 343 lb-ft of torque. Accelerating from 0-60 in 4.4 seconds, the M2 maintains a combined fuel economy of 21 MPG. BMW offers the M2 in 4 stunning colors, with the Mineral Grey Metallic being a particular favorite of ours.

Buying Advice

For those who don’t like the manual transmission, BMW also offers an optional seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission for $2,900. Furthermore, you can opt for the Executive Package which costs +$1,400, and the M Driver's Package which asks for +$2,500.
