Overview

The 2023 Toyota C-HR is discontinued now after the 2022 model year. However, one can still go for the 2022 MY pumping 144 hp with its 2.0L I-4 engine under the hood. Along with that cometh the XLE trim at an MSRP of $24,280 and Nightshade Edition at $25,025. While the 2022 Toyota C-HR price stands at $27,300 for the Limited trim. Check out the video below by "Motor Future" to find out all that is good and what makes it worth buying.

Toyota C-HR For Sale

The C-HR 2022 goes for sale with a lease deal of $399/month for 48 months considering an annual drive of 10,000 miles. However, the investment could go lower to $350/month for 36 months and 18,000 miles.

Buying Advice

Toyota C-HR Limited is the best trim in the lineup.

Comparative Analysis against Competition

Though the 2023 Toyota C-HR is not in production but its predecessor 2022 C-HR is still one of the most practical SUVs considering its towing capacity and payload. Its safety build and features along with an engaging interior and driving dynamics are among the highlights of the stature. However, one can't be at ease considering the average J.D. Power rating of 81.

Safety
8.0/10

The 2022 Toyota C-HR has scored 4-star in NHTSA and "Good" in IIHS except for the "Poor" headlights. However, you can't relish the same structural integrity for 2023 MY. Some of the safety features are mentioned below:

  • Vehicle stability control (VSC)
  • Toyota Safety Sense 2.5
  • Star Safety System
  • Side impact beams
  • Collision mitigation front and rear
  • Low tire pressure warning
  • Driver monitoring alert
  • Dual-stage driver and passenger airbags
  • Rear child safety locks
  • Backup camera
  • Driver’s knee airbag

Competition

Toyota C-HR vs. Honda HR-V

Both C-HR and HR-V have got great drive handling with them. However, when it comes to performance and mileage, the HR-V takes the lead in both segments. It remains true for the interior space as well. So, it has to be HR-V between the two.

Toyota C-HR vs. Chevrolet Trax

Though Chevy Trax has a superior performance track over the Toyota C-HR but it struggles to keep up with the fuel efficiency at the same time. Apart from that, there is no major gap between in terms of safety and quality build as such. So, one can go for either one of them.

Toyota C-HR vs. Hyundai Kona

The C-HR and Kona are two of the closest rivals in terms of interior tech features and safety specs. That stays the same in driving dynamics as well. However, in terms of acceleration and power thrust, Kona is a little better without compromising in its mileage. So, it has to be Kona between the two.

Final Verdict

You can consider it as your daily driver. It provides a comparable and comfortable interior along with proper driving dynamics.

          Amazing Toyota

Pros - ["Safety in it", "The trunk is spacious", "Smooth drive"]

Cons - ["The passenger seat isn't automatic", "Nothing else that's good", "That's it that's good"]

It's a very sleek looking car amazing safety features and when a car is beside you it flashes on the side it's on. I have 3 little ones and I've never felt safer between me and my husband we have 5 cars this is by far my favorite.

Low tire indicator comes on monthly. There is NO way to open the hatchback from the driver's seat!

          Pros - Love this car

Cons - Dangerous not being able to open hatchback from inside of vehicle, as this could be fatal if you needed that as an exit.
