ProsConsWhat's New

It offers a surprising amount of space.

It requires some time when passing on the highway.

The top-tier flagship Denali trim has been renamed to Limited which is joined by two more tone finishes - Galactic Grey and Ceramic White both with a black roof.

Host an impressive number of standard features at a budget-friendly price.

When accelerating at higher speeds, the engine has a slightly coarser sound and feel.

Easy to use control layout and a user-friendly infotainment system.

No manual transmission and it lacks an AWD drivetrain option too.

Overview

Hyundai offers a small crossover SUV called the Venue. It is excellent at routine work and comfortable enough to travel with. Built to handle the urban jungle, the Venue small SUV blends style, technology, and space in a vehicle that is maneuverable enough to weave through city traffic yet capacious enough to transport all of your adventures. Additionally, Venue keeps you engaged, connected, and, most importantly, protected by utilizing a wide spectrum of cutting-edge technologies. The subcompact truck seems quirky and little, but inside it has a surprising amount of space and high-quality furniture.

Buying Advice

We will recommend the top-tier Limited trim variant if you’re deciding to buy a 2022 Hyundai Venue as not only it has all the features found on the other trims but it can also be ordered with a special Denim exterior and interior treatment that features a dark blue exterior and a white-painted roof in contrast. Dark blue upholstery is also used inside the cabin, and the seats have an insert made of a material that looks like denim. Additionally, 17-inch wheels, heated front seats, and in-dash navigation are included as standard equipment in the Limited trim level.

Comparative Analysis against Competition

The Hyundai Venue is expected to be a carryover model for the model year 2022 with only trim limited revisions, A power sunroof is now a standard feature on the SEL trim, while the Denim trim has been renamed Limited and its former inclusion in the Premium Package has been dropped. Additionally, it is a value-for-money option present in the subcompact SUV class. The Venue car is offered in three trim levels to choose from which are SE, SEL, and Limited. The Hyundai Venue price for the base trims starts around an MSRP of $19,000 which can range up to a maximum of $22,250 with its top tier. In this segment, it will always continue to compete against the likes of the Kia Soul, the Nissan Kicks, and the Chevrolet Trailblazer.

Features

While comparing all the statistics, we can say that the Kia Soul comes with efficient fuel economy ratings and its range numbers.

Interior
7.0/10

The Hyundai Venue interior is functional and considering its small length, the passenger room is better than anticipated. Although the design isn't especially eye-catching, the inside is neatly put together, supported by durable switchgear, a stylish gauge cluster, and an engaging infotainment system. The wide-opening doors and reasonable stepping height make entering the cabin a simple process. A good blend of support and cushioning can be found in the front seats. The SEL variant comes standard with a steering wheel and shifter coated in leather.

The top-tier Limited trim comes standard with heated front seats and passive entry with a push-button start. Even persons who are taller than average would sit comfortably in the front and back rows because of the ample headroom and legroom and when the 60/40 split-folding back seats are folded down, there is 19 cu-ft of cargo space and when the back seat is folded flat, the capacity rises to 32 cu-ft. It comes equipped with cloth upholstery and manually adjustable front seats while the Limited trim continues to use synthetic leather and denim trim as standard.

Exterior
6.0/10

The Hyundai Venue's exterior design sets it apart from all of its competitors, and its distinctive appearance does a good job of making it stand out. The chrome-accented hexagonal grille, LED headlights with LED DRLs, silver lower bumper highlights, and a manly hood design are all present on the front end. It has the necessary SUV character as a result of its large dimensions. The car's angular front end and oversized grille give the impression that it is an SUV, but when you look at the rest of it, it seems entirely out of place. The optional 17-inch wheels with contrast accents, the strong character lines, the shorter length, and the shorter wheelbase all contribute to the vehicle's young appearance. Also stylish is the dual-tone color scheme for the Limited trim, the silver roof rails, and the black cladding. With LED taillights, a silver skid plate, and a cleverly fitted rear spoiler, the back end has a well-balanced look.

Competition
8.0/10

2022 Hyundai Venue vs 2022 Kia Soul

With its supportive, roomy, and well-bolstered seats, the Hyundai Venue provides a tonne of comfort within the interior. A minimum of five passengers may be accommodated comfortably within the vehicle. There are five seats in the Kia Soul's roomy interior. Only four adults can travel in comfort because of the lack of room in the rear row, despite its comfortable and well-supported seats. The Hyundai Venue has a 1.6L engine that produces 121 hp and achieves 30 MPG and 33 MPG for city and motorway driving, respectively. The Kia Soul's 4-cylinder engine has 147 hp and can achieve 25 MPG and 31 MPG in the city and on the interstate. The Hyundai Venue enables you to maximize your investment while the Kia Soul falls short in several areas.

2022 Hyundai Venue vs 2022 Nissan Kicks

The Nissan Kicks narrowly defeat the Hyundai Venue with 122 hp and 114 lb-ft of torque over the engine output of 121 hp and 113 lb-ft of torque. For those who prefer manual transmissions, only the latter is available. The cargo area is significantly impacted by the Kick somewhat larger length than the Venue. In contrast, it also delivers a much better fuel economy, but it has the lowest gasoline tank and the least amount of range. Given that the 2022 Hyundai Venue is $2,300 less expensive than the 2022 Nissan Kicks, it becomes a superior choice. The 2022 Hyundai Venue is a superior bargain because of the features it delivers, which are also extremely generous for the price.

2022 Hyundai Venue vs 2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer

The standard 1.2L engine on the Chevrolet Trailblazer generates 16 more hp and 49 lb-ft of torque more than the Hyundai base engine, and it also offers a 1.3 gallons higher fuel tank capacity that results in a better range when compared to its counterpart. Although the Hyundai is faster and has stronger acceleration, the Trailblazer maintains efficiency despite being slower. However, because of the little variations, it is difficult to pick a clear winner between the two.

Final Verdict

Yes, we recommend the subcompact SUV Hyundai Venue due to its unique appearance, spacious interior, and affordable pricing, the Venue has quickly become one of the most popular options present in the American market. The Venue thrives in urban environments with a suite of standard driver assistance features and technology features as standard at exceptional pricing, it will be available in Limited grade, which adds dual-tone coloration, an 8" touchscreen infotainment system, LED headlights with LED DRLs, heated seats, remote engine start, 17-inch wheels, and a sunroof. Although it isn't the fastest or smoothest highway cruiser in the subcompact SUV class, it is undoubtedly one of the cheapest with an exceptional value that goes a long way.
