Overview

The 2015 Hyundai Accent makes for an excellent contender in the subcompact sedan class. With standalone trim on offer, the Hyundai Accent carries an MSRP of $14,745. It competes directly with the Kia Rio, the Ford Fiesta, and the Toyota Corolla. Only a 1.6L Inline-4 engine is offered, mated to a standard 6-Speed Manual transmission or an optional 6-Speed Automatic transmission. Together, they produce 137 horsepower and 123 lb-ft of torque.

Accelerating from 0-60 in 9.8 seconds, the Accent maintains a combined fuel economy of 31 MPG. Hyundai offers the Accent in 7 stunning colors, with the Boston Red being a particular favorite of ours.

Buying Advice

The Accent GLS is equipped with satellite radio, keyless entry, a 6-speaker sound system, heated power side mirrors, and more. We also strongly recommend the $600 Popular Equipment Package which includes a tilt and telescope steering wheel, cruise control, Bluetooth hands-free phone system, steering wheel-mounted audio controls, and sliding armrest storage box.

              Great reliable car

Pros - ["Doesn't break down", "Great gas milage and turning ratio", "Good acceleration"]

Cons - ["Plastic parts", "No spare tire", "No cruise control"]

My kids have crashed this car several times and it still runs great. It's got 150,000 miles and still going strong. I plan to buy a similar model when this one dies. Great cat which I never would have guessed when I bought it.

Pros - ["Great turning, it doesn't break down", "Reliable, runs great"]

Cons - ["Too much plastic.", "Too much plastic"]

Great car, reliable, takes a beating, right steering radius, good acceleration I've put over 100,000 miles on it, taught my kids to drive, my son crashed it and it still runs. Decent price and good mileage......
