The Nissan Versa even after being a budget-friendly car offers a well-enough engine that packs some awfully low power, this sedan will be coming with a 1.6L 4-cylinder engine that delivers just 122 hp redlining at 6300 rpm and has a torque of 114 pound-feet of torque redlining at 4000 rpm also it is paired with 1-speed CVT automatic. Also for this price range, most of the cars are FWD, and the same goes for the Versa which comes with an FWD drivetrain. It is in no way the fastest in its segment but is just fast, as the 112hp 4-cylinder engine takes the car from 0-60 in 10 seconds, reaches the quarter-mile mark in 17.6 seconds, and has a top speed of 115 mph which is highest among its competitors.

Among all three of the subcompact sedans the Kia Rio takes the first place because of the refined 120 hp Inline-4 engine that takes the car from 0-60 within 8.6 seconds and it goes up to 110 mph. The second place is taken by none other than the Nissan Versa, which goes from 0-60 in 9.8 seconds and has a top speed of 115 mph. And at the last position comes the Mitsubishi Mirage, this hatchback goes from 0-60 within 12.3 seconds which is quite slower than the other two cars, and it goes up to 105 mph.
2024 Nissan Versa Ride and Handling
As for ride and handling experience the 2024 Nissan Versa is quite similar to the 2023 model as the sedan did not receive any major changes for improving the ride and handling quality of the car. However, the Versa is quite refined, and the handling capabilities of this car are laudable as it maintains its composure while taking corners, but there is a problem with it during harsh maneuvers on the highways the engine mitigates harsh noises and can become a bit bouncy on uneven roads as the suspensions are not that refined, resulting to declined comfort and ride experience in overall.
Other than all that the Versa comes with a hefty steering wheel, but that does not result in any kind of downgrade in the overall handling experience that the sedan offers. So in short the Nissan Versa can be considered as just a good car when it comes to Ride and Handling as it is neither that good nor very bad.
2024 Nissan Versa Braking Performance
The 2024 Versa comes with the same robust brakes as the 2023 model, so the pedal’s feel and the stopping power are expected to be as commendable as the previous model. During routine scenarios, the brake works quite well but in difficult scenarios, for example at high speeds, the brake feels much less tight and responsive. The Versa comes with a 10.02x0.87-inch front and 8-inch rear drum rotors which provide a consistent overall deceleration. So, in short, the Nissan Versa might not have the best braking among its competitors, but it provides much when needed, and for such a price, the brakes in the car can be considered as average.

The Nissan Versa, Kia Rio, and the Mitsubishi Mirage offer good braking performance for their price range, but the braking power in these cars are certainly not enough. Also, we cannot rank the cars as the braking test results are not available, but considering the branking results of their previous models, the Rio will come first, followed by the Versa, then the Mirage.
