Overview

The 2015 Buick Enclave was last refreshed a couple of years ago and hence carries forward unchanged this year. There are practically no changes made this year and the Enclave sees a price hike of just $160 over the previous model year. The 2015 Buick Enclave price starts at an MSRP of $39,975 which includes the $925 destination fee. The new Buick Enclave ranks among the top midsize crossover SUVs in the states.

Featuring a 3-trim lineup of the Enclave, the 2015 Buick Enclave MSRP can be an expense of $39,975-$50,230 this season. Having said that, it simply translates to the fact that the range-leader 2015 Buick Enclave Premium will cost you $10,255 more than the base Enclave for enhanced specs and assets.

We Recommend

Although the 2015 Buick Enclave Leather trim might feel expensive for some, the added creature comforts make it feel worth the additional investment and hence would be our preferred choice.

It equips cutting-edge safety features, a spacious cabin, a compelling exterior, and pleasant ride quality. It’s not like those traditional off-roading trucks, moreover, it’s a three-row luxury family hauling car, Buick designed it for those who generally want an SUV with some high-quality interior in a family car. In comparison, the Audi Q7 might feel way too expensive, but it offers a much more spacious cabin and has more technology to offer. The Acura MDX on the other hand is much more frugal while the Lexus RX 350 is the most reliable of the lot.

2015 Buick Enclave for sale

The Buick Enclave for sale deals start at $606/month for a 72-month finance period at 4.69% APR and requires a $4,000 down payment. The Enclave lease option begins at $582/month for a tenure of 36 months and an annual mileage limit of 10,000 miles.

For budget-oriented buyers, the used Buick Enclave can be availed of with a base price of $1,200. Going for older model years like the 2013 Buick Enclave could be a matter of $3,800 and Buick Enclave 2013 can cost as much as $31,999 along with a listing of up to 312 in total.

Buying Advice

In terms of performance, all trims get a similar 3.6-liter, V6 powertrain. The Leather trim also showcases a premium cabin with comfortable seats and advanced safety features but the Premium includes some better entertainment and modern safety features like lane departure warning, adaptive headlights, and a forward collision alert system. Although Leather trim is pretty much equipped with everything a family car must have and it’s the most value for money trim. The all-wheel-drive option makes it a more valuable proposition.

Comparative Analysis against Competition

The exterior appeal is simply unmistakable. 2015 Enclave gets a premium and sporty touch with massive alloy wheels and signature treatment. It rivals the likes of Acura MDX, Audi Q7, and Lexus RX 350.

Engine and Performance
6.0/10

The 2015 Enclave remains essentially unchanged over its previous model year. It comes equipped with a 3.6-liter V6 engine along with a 6-speed shiftable automatic transmission. This duo generates 288 hp and 270 lb-ft torque. Except for base trim, all other trims get an optional AWD drivetrain choice. The base trim comes in a standard FWD setup.

The vehicle’s acceleration is impressive, covering a 0-60 mph sprint in just 7.5 seconds in its base avatar. Standing quarter-mile timing clocks at 15.9 seconds. All trims get a firmer suspension system and refined engine for optimum handling and performance. When properly equipped, the 2015 Enclave can tow up to 4,500 pounds. This shows us that it’s not much behind those truck-like cars.

The new Buick Enclave gets an edge over how it’s priced, while every other car in the competition is over 40 grand. The powertrain of Buick is efficient and generates second to best power after the Acura. Audi Q7 is the only car in the lot that comes with a deadly combo of a supercharged V6 engine that is mated with an 8-speed automatic, which explains its impressive performance. It is also the most powerful on paper and roads. Acura MDX despite sporting a smaller engine than the Enclave is quicker than the Buick owing to its lightweight body.

Fuel Economy
6.0/10

Balanced midsize SUVs that want to catch the market by playing in the sweet spot between efficiency and power are more preferable to power-dedicated SUVs. The 2015 Buick Enclave delivers at par fuel economy with the massive 3.6-Liter powerhouse underneath. On city roads, the car offers 17 MPG and 24 MPG on highways. A big 22-gallon fuel tank takes care of the driving range, compensating for the below-par economy.

The new Enclave is better than the Q7 in terms of economy. Though, Audi Q7 gets a heavy compensation in driving range and all thanks to its massive 26.4-gallon fuel tank capacity. The most economical SUV in this class is the Acura MDX and even with its small 19.5-gallon fuel tank, it offers a better driving range of 390 miles in the city and 546 miles on highways than the 2015 Enclave.

Interior
9.0/10

The interior space of the 2015 Buick Enclave resonates with premium vibes along with absolute seating comfort. The cabin equips an updated infotainment system and connectivity features. It offers a passenger capacity of seven spread across three rows. The third row is a bit tight for adults but is comfortable for children. The first two rows are highly spacious with ample legroom and headroom. The mid-tier Leather trim features leather-wrapped seats and a heating function for the front row.

The top-end Premium version gets ventilated seats and premium detailing. Overall material used is premium and the dashboard is made of soft-touch plastic that gives an upmarket feel. Apart from comfort, the utility has been taken care of. The new Buick Enclave features multiple small-item storage spaces and a spacious cargo room. The rear rows come with a 60/40 split feature for expanding cargo volume further.

Competitors like Acura MDX and Audi Q7 also offer sufficient space in the first two rows but the third row is a bit tight. The Enclave has a balance in passenger space and cargo volume. Cargo space is ample for short trip luggage. The Lexus RX gets an edge in cargo volume while sacrificing the third-row seats. Standout interior features:

  • Tri-zone automatic climate control
  • Leather-wrapped seats for Leather and Premium trims
  • Heated seats for Leather trim
  • Heated and Ventilated seats for Premium model
  • 8-way power-adjustable front seats

Exterior
8.0/10

The 2015 Enclave is equally charming on the outside as it is on the inside. It gets an extensive look with a long body, a unique front fascia, and loads of chrome accents. Massive 18-inch alloy wheels beautifully fit the wheel arches. The front gets adaptive headlights, fog lamps, and a massive grille in chrome. The sides look sleek and lengthy. Chrome door handles, overhead railing on either side, and window panels add up to the appeal.

The rear comes with attractive taillights and dual exhaust tips. A dual skyscape sunroof is one of the most desirable features in SUVs and is available as an option in the Enclave. The new Buick Enclave is the most superior, dimensionally. It features a long body with healthy width and ample ground clearance. The wheelbase is also the widest among competitors. SUVs like Acura MDX and Audi Q7 also showcase a charming body structure with a unique front design and sleek sides. The Q7 features the best-in-class ground clearance of 8.1 inches despite having a comparatively low height. Standout exterior features:

  • Dual skyscape sunroof
  • Unique front grille in chrome
  • 18-inch alloy wheels
  • Overhead roof rails
  • Chrome door handles and window panels
  • Adaptive headlights

Safety
9.0/10

One of the strong selling points of the Enclave is its unprecedented safety. The SUV scores well in safety testing by NHTSA and IIHS. The 2015 Buick Enclave is a part of the first generation and is built on the GM Lambda platform. Similar underpinnings are shared by Chevrolet Traverse and GMC Acadia. The base model gets few active safety features like a rearview camera and parking sensors. Moving up the trim levels adds multiple driver assistance systems like the forward-collision warning system, lane departure warning, rear cross-traffic alert, and blind-spot monitoring. Standout safety features in the 2015 Buick Enclave are:

  • Adaptive Headlights
  • Forward collision warning
  • Lane Departure Warning
  • Blind-spot monitoring
  • Rear cross-traffic alert
  • Rear parking sensors

Final Verdict

The new Buick Enclave remains essentially unchanged. However, you get better interior space with premium seating and updated infotainment. The exterior design is uncanny with massive alloys and a sporty front grille. Moreover, a wide range of advanced safety features gives it an edge over competitors. With a low entry price tag, 2015 Enclave is a strong competitor and reflects quality with style. It is definitely recommended as a daily rider with friends and family.

              Good pre-owned Enclave.

Pros - Smooth riding, reliable, spacious, luxurious design

              Cons - Nothing as such.

Best Purchase. 14 Enclave is totally worth it, it's been years since I purchased it and I'm still glad that I bought it. I'm in my 60s and thankfully this SUV gave me the least amount of issues. It turned out that if we just take proper care of Enclave, it can stay as it was on the day of buying. It's great for families who are looking for an affordable option but still want something luxurious. ...
