Overview
The 2023 BMW X3 gets only packaging changes this year and carries forward mostly unchanged as compared to last year. The optional Premium package now offers a wireless smartphone charging pad and loses out on gesture controls. The Executive package also misses out on gestures and the fancy optional Vernasca leather upholstery and BMW’s SensaTec animal-free faux leather have been discontinued. In place of the premium leather upholstery options, the new BMW X5 2023 now gets a new vegan faux leather called Sensafin. The X5 offers a wide range of powertrain options to better suit to different needs of the buyers. While the standard inline-6 motor is smooth and efficient, there's also an X5 hybrid and a mighty V8-powered BMW X5 M. Available for sale in 4 trims, the 2024 BMW X5 price starts at $61,600 which translates to a price hike of $1,000 over the previous model year.
While the 2024 model year is expected to get updates to its powertrain, the X5 2023 is still one of the quickest non-performance SUVs in the market. The standard 3L 335 hp inline-6 motor does well to do a 0-60 MPH sprint in just 5.3 seconds and yet is rated to return 26 MPG on the highways. At this price point, the BMW X5 stiff competition in the midsize luxury SUV segment from the likes of the Audi Q7, Genesis GV80, Porsche Cayenne, and the Volvo XC90.
