Sharing a lot of its underpinnings and platform, the Lincoln Corsair can be considered a more premium and luxurious version of the Ford Escape for a modest price increment. Like most Lincoln offerings, the Corsair is made for comfortable cruising, dialing back the sporty character of the Ford Escape for better refinement and comfort, taking on luxury-focused rivals like the Audi Q5 and BMW X3. The 2022 model further improves on this with a lot more features and options to choose from. Unfortunately, however, the Corsair also shares the same reliability issues with the Ford Escape with 4 recalls so far and 10 registered complaints, similar to its cheaper sibling. Let's take a look at the issues reported and how the Corsair stacks up in terms of reliability.

Should you buy the 2022 Lincoln Corsair?
Although reliability still remains a concern, the Corsair does far better than the Ford Escape with just a few concerning issues like brake failures and a few electrical issues concerning the equipment and infotainment system. The hybrid model is also prone to battery failures, although recalls have been issued for fixing these issues. Overall, for a justifiable premium over the Ford Escape, Lincoln has managed to build a capable and luxurious crossover that covers all the basics like a long feature list, elegant design, and a sublime ride. If you're in the market for a luxury crossover, the 2022 Lincoln Corsair is worth considering.
