The 2023 Aston Martin Vantage Coupe will be offered in a single trim level along with multiple customization options. Moreover, the car will get the V12 motor along with several upgrades but we'll talk about it in a separate review. Coming to the regular model, the car gets a handsome list of standard features that include 20-inch alloy wheels, a two-zone automatic climate control, adaptive dampers, LED exterior lights, 8-way power adjustable and heated seats along with memory settings, leather upholstery, and a 360-degree camera system among other features. Apart from the mind-bending number of customization options, the car also gets some standalone features like upgraded 20-inch or 21-inch wheels, heating for the steering wheel, ventilation for the front seats, and a 10-speaker audio system.

Release Date

The 2023 Aston Martin Vantage is available for ordering as per the latest updates. We expect the deliveries to begin towards the end of 2022 or early 2023.

Even though the 2023 Aston Martin Vantage houses a twin-turbo V8 under its hood, the car returns some decent mpg numbers. Inside the city limits, the Vantage returns an average of 19mpg while out on the highways, the number rises to 24mpg. The combined mileage figure is rated at 20mpg. Being a sporty grand tourer, the Vantage gets a sizable 19.3-gallon gas tank, resulting in impressive driving range numbers during both highway and city drives.

The Porsche 911 Carrera 4S has identical highway mileage and slightly lower city mileage ratings than the Vantage coupe. Despite having almost the same mpg ratings as the Vantage, the smaller gas tank of the 911 Carrera lets it down in terms of driving range number when compared to the former. The Jaguar F-Type R is the least fuel-efficient car here in terms of city and combined mileage but surprises with its highway mpg rating. Even though the F-Type has commendable highway mileage and a decent-sized gas tank, the city driving range is outright disappointing.

The interior of the 2023 Aston Martin Vantage will see no updates but it doesn’t need one either. While a few rivals offer better and more plush cabins, the Vantage’s interior isn’t bad either. The cabin gets leather upholstery as standard and the front seats get 8-way power adjustments along with heating and memory settings. Headroom and legroom are plenty but tall adults might brush their heads while getting in and out. Leather upholstery is standard but you’ll be offered a dizzying option for customizations that include color themes and contrasting stitching as well. On the optional standalone features front features such as a heated steering wheel and ventilated front seats are offered for more comfort. All the controls are well within the reach of the driver’s seat and everything is covered in Alcantara or leather. The doors open in Aston’s iconic swan style, making it stand out from the crowd as always.

The Porsche 911 Carrera 4S has the nicest cabin here with plenty of attention to detail. Like the Vantage, the 911 Carrera gets plenty of customization options. However, the 911 lacks the cockpit-style layout of the Vantage which amps up the driving engagement of the latter. The Jaguar F-Type R has an elegant and well-appointed cabin but both headroom and legroom are on the shorter side, especially for tall occupants. However, the F-Type does offer a commendable trunk space for the class.

How intuitive is the 2023 Aston Martin Vantage coupe’s infotainment system?

Despite costing upwards of a hundred grand, the 2023 Aston Martin Vantage manages to disappoint in terms of its infotainment system. The system gets an 8.0-inch touchscreen display that runs on an older version of Mercedes-Benz’s MBUX user interface. Further Aston Martin’s own modifications to the system made it even more inconvenient to use. Disappointingly, the system doesn’t offer Android Auto as well. Apple CarPlay is present along with Bluetooth connectivity that can be spotty sometimes while connecting to your smartphone. On the plus side, the standard 6-speaker audio system is powerful enough to fill the cabin of the Vantage with rich sound and thumping bass.

In the last couple of years, Aston Martin has come up with some next-level designs for its vehicles and we have seen some prominent examples such as the DBX and the DB11. After the facelift, the Vantage also received the latest design language from the brand, and it is absolutely gorgeous. At the front, the iconic grille design of the brand remains while the layout is unique. At first glance, the front grille appears to have been fitted separately on the front bumper and is attached to the front splitter. 

The hood is big and gets a clamshell-like design and the sleek LED headlamp units accentuates the front facia gracefully. From the sides, the car looks like a proper coupe and the frameless swan-style opening doors are big enough for easy entry and exit. The pop-up-style door lock handles are in fashion now, and the Vantage gets the same, getting a more streamlined side profile. At the rear, the trunk lid along with the strip-style LED tail lights is inspired by the rear end design of the DBX SUV, and it looks stunning amidst the German rivals it competes against. 

The Porsche 911 Carrera 4S gets the iconic styling it is known for but feels a bit dull in front of its rivals such as the Vantage or the F-Type. It has the shortest wheelbase here and the headlamp units get the latest four-point LED DRLs as seen on other Porsche vehicles. The Jaguar F-Type R, after its last facelift, now looks angrier and sportier than before while the original styling of the car has been retained quite well. However, the Aston Martin Vantage here is still the best one if we consider it for its exterior design and road presence.

Crashing a car that costs more than a hundred grand would be a pricey affair and the scarce sales volume of the Vantage has also kept it from getting crash-tested as well. The car also misses out on some crucial ADAS techs such as forward collision warning and mitigation and lane keeping system. As standard, the coupe gets Front and rear parking sensors along with a 360-degree camera system only. Apart from these, the car gets all the basic active safety techs such as traction control, stability control, and an anti-lock braking system.

2023 Aston Martin Vantage coupe vs 2022 Porsche 911 Carrera 4S

The Porsche 911 Carrera 4S gives a tough fight to the Aston Martin Vantage in almost every aspect. Even though the 911 Carrera gets a less powerful motor, its superior PDK transmission unit along with the AWD layout makes it as quick and fast as the Vantage here. Moreover, the 911 Carrera is a better handling machine than the RWD Vantage and offers a more engaging drive every time as well. Despite all the engaging drives and the cornering abilities, the 911 simply fails to deliver the thrill and experience of the rumbling V8 that the Vantage has.

2023 Aston Martin Vantage coupe vs 2022 Jaguar F-Type R

The Jaguar F-Type R has a slight similarity to the Aston Martin Vantage in terms of powertrain since the former gets a sizable V8 with a supercharger strapped to it. Being the only one with this setup in the segment, the F-Type R also offers quite the experience while driving much like the Vantage, and has excellent handling capabilities as well. Moreover, it is slightly more practical than the Vantage with a bigger trunk. In terms of the interior though, it is just at par with the Vantage as well as with its rivals and can be a tight place to be for tall drivers.

The Aston Martin Vantage should be on your bucket list if you have superb taste in sportscars. But the V12 Vantage is the one we would recommend since it will be the last of its kind in this segment as well as the last Aston to be powered by a V12 too. The styling of the Vantage is stunning and that pure rumble from the V8 is a rarity in the segment. The Vantage might disappoint a bit due to the lack of some important advanced driver assistance features and its outdated infotainment system, but it ensures quite the experience every time you get behind its wheel.
