Overview

The 2019 Porsche 718 Cayman Coupe makes for an excellent contender in the compact coupe class. With standalone trim on offer, the Porsche 718 Cayman has a base MSRP of $56,900. It competes directly with the Jaguar F-TYPE Coupe, the Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe, and the BMW 4 Series Coupe. Only a 2.0L Turbo Flat-4 engine is offered, mated to a manual transmission. Together, they produce 300 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque. Accelerating from 0-60 in 5.1 seconds, the 718 Cayman maintains a combined fuel economy of 24 MPG. Porsche offers the 718 Cayman in 15 stunning colors, with the Lava Orange being a particular favorite of ours.

Buying Advice

We would recommend the standard manual gearbox with the 718 Cayman but if you are looking for another setup, Porsche also offers an optional 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. With this, Porsche’s little baby will be 0.2 seconds faster. For the options, you can consider adaptive cruise control, lane change assist, and the Premium Package Plus with 14-way power sport seats.
