The standard engine is a 2.0L Inline-4 rated for 158 horsepower and 141 lb-ft of torque. With this engine, the Patriot gives you a towing capacity of 2,000 pounds. An optional 2.4L inline-4 is also offered, with an output of 172 horsepower. A 5-speed manual, CVT, and 6-speed automatic transmission choices are offered alongside both engines.
