Overview
Named after the Titans from Greek Mythology, the Nissan Titan was targeted at the pickup truck-centric market in the US. The truck hit the market back in 2003 and came with an extensive list of optional extras and a commendable performance from the standard V8 motor. The truck entered its second-gen model in 2016 during which the truck received an extensive redesign and grew substantially in size. It shares the platform with other utility vehicles such as the Armada and the NV van.
The 2018 Titan Single Cab arrives with no changes. The truck gets a standard 5.7-liter V8 gasoline engine that puts out a healthy 390 horsepower along with 394 lb-ft of torque. The engine is mated to a 7-speed automatic transmission. Even though there isn’t any optional engine available, the standard motor has enough oomph to get this behemoth going about effortlessly. Starting at a humble $30,030, the truck sees competition from the likes of the Chevrolet Silverado 1500, the GMC Sierra 1500, and the Ford F-150.
