... it and there are several dislikes now. One is the paint, it is definitely not very durable and scratches very easily. I frequently lean against the side of the bed to secure my four wheeler in the bed and there are numerous scratches in the paint where I leaned up against it and only had on a cotton shirt. My Ford never scratched like this. The amount of rock dings in the front hood for only having 44,000 miles on it is horrible.Read More

... great, but after 1 year of having this truck I noticed so much rust starting to happen and I took such great care of it ! ... ridiculous ). By far the most problematic vehicle I have ever owned . 7/1/21---My 3 yr -38k mile nightmare is over. Today I traded for a Toyota Tacoma---I wanted to like the Titan but the Titan hated me--drove it like a car, dealer did all the maintenance, never towed anything but a wood splitter---SHAME ON YOU NISSAN.Read More

The 2018 Nissan Titan Single Cab is a potent option in the full-size pickup truckclass. It comes with a standard V8 engine that delivers potent performance and is celebrated for its viable commercial capabilities. It is equipped with class-leading features, comes with a comprehensive warranty policy, and is a rather dependable proposition with a hassle free ownership experience. The truck currently has 31 complaints and 4 recalls listed to its name, which feels decent for a vehicle that manages to sell more than 50,000 units. However, it does have an open investigation for a faltering airbag issue. A 2018 Nissan Titan for sale starts at just above $31,000 and competes with the likes of the GMC Sierra 1500 Regular Cab, the Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Regular Cab, and the RAM 1500 Regular Cab.

2018 Nissan Titan Single Cab User Complaints and Problems

Mechanical Complaints

  • Transmission issues: The 2018 Nissan Titan transmission problems are well known and affect the ride quality. Buyers have reported the truck to shift roughly between the gears and rev up to redline. In some other cases, complainants have also noted a delay in the time taken to change gears.
  • Problem of dead pedal: The issues related to the dead pedal have been reported by several buyers of the truck. As noted, the vehicle fails to accelerate despite the pedal being depressed, resulting in inadvertent stalling. This can increase the chance of a crash.
  • Issues with the fuel tank: In the list of the 2018 Titan problems, complainants have reported a whining noise from the fuel tank, when the truck is being fueled. Additionally, buyers have also recorded the vehicle spitting back fuel, even when the tank is not filled to the hilt. While no solution is known, the problem can create a hazardous situation, if it is not tended to at the earliest.

Electric System Complaints

  • Damage to electrical components: Buyers of the Nissan Titan Single Cab have reported unexpected electrical and mechanical failures. In cases where a diagnosis was conducted, dealers have found damage to the components by rodents.

Should you buy the 2018 Nissan Titan Single Cab?

Nissan’s vehicles typically resonate with practicality and reliability, and the Titan Single Cab is an embodiment of a similar ideology. It has a constricted number of complaints and does not warrant constant visits to the warehouse. Even the list of the 2018 Nissan Titan recalls is not extensive, and consequently, there is not much to worry about the buyers. So, CarHP recommends buying the Japanese truck in the full-size segment. However, if you want a viable alternative, there is no option better than the 2018 Chevrolet Colorado Regular Cab.
