Overview

The 2018 Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class is a proud member of the compact SUV segment, locking horns with cars like the BMW X3, the Lexus NX 300, and the Audi Q5. With standalone trim, the GLC-Class carries a base price of MSRP of $40,050. Its 2.0L Turbo Inline-4 engine and a 9-speed automatic transmission give the SUV 241 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque. With that, it manages a 0-60 of 6.3 seconds and boasts a towing capacity of 3,500 pounds. Moving to fuel economy, the GLC-Class manages to get a combined EPA rating of 24 MPG, which is average for the class, with most of its rivals reaching similar numbers. It also has a ground clearance of 5.9 inches.

Buying Advice

The fuel economy is not greatly affected by the choice of drivetrain. Hence we recommend the 4MATIC version of the GLC 300 which basically offers an all-wheel-drive system.
