Overview

The 2017 Mercedes Benz GLA-Class is a proud member of the subcompact luxury SUV segment, locking horns with cars like the Audi Q3, the BMW X1, and the Infiniti QX30. Offered in a standalone trim, the GLA-Class starts off at a base price of MSRP $32,850 and carries on to $34,850. Its 2.0L turbocharged inline-4 engineand 7-speed automatic transmissiongive the SUV 208 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. With that, it manages 0-60 in 7.2 seconds and boasts a towing capacity of 3,500 pounds. Moving to fuel economy, the GLA-Class manages to get a combined EPA rating of 26 MPG, a number that is great for the class and highly improves the GLA-Class's practicality. It also has a ground clearance of 6.6 inches. 

Buying Advice

Our recommendation would be the top-level 4Matic grade, as it adds an all-wheel drive system to give you more confidence behind the wheel due to better grip and traction levels. As for the features, both trims offer identical comfort and safety features. However, there are a handful of packages to choose from. The Driver Assistance package seems like the real deal here, which adds adaptive cruise control and lane departure warning.
