Overview

The 2012 Lexus GX 460 SUV is a proud member of the midsize luxury SUV segment, locking horns with cars like the Porsche Cayenne, the Volkswagen Toureg, and the Mercedes-Benz M-Class. Spread across 2 trims, the GX 460 starts off at a base price of MSRP $53,245 and carries on to $58,040. Its 4.6L V8 engine and 6-speed automatic transmission give the SUV 301 horsepower and 329 lb-ft of torque. With that, it manages a 0-60 of 7.2 seconds and boasts a towing capacity of 6,500 pounds. Moving to fuel economy, the GX 460 manages to get a combined EPA rating of 17 MPG, which is just average for the class, with most of its rivals reaching similar numbers. It also has a ground clearance of 8.1 inches.
