The F-Type benefits from excellent interior materials and craftsmanship- Edmunds
2017 Jaguar F-Type Seating and Comfort
The interior of the Jaguar F-Type is elegant with a beautiful fit and finish, and too nice to get out of. It is a strict two-seater and the seats are treated with leather. The seats are wonderfully plush and offer plenty of comforts. It has aggressive bolsters so it hugs you if you're going to take some sharp corners. All the models get power-adjustable seats as standard whereas premium leather upholstery, heated seats, and steering wheel are optional.
Speaking of the steering wheel, it is wrapped in leather and you also get nifty paddle shifters with a bronze finish in the S trim. The huge panoramic sunroof lets in plenty of light and keeps the cabin airy. The head and legroom offered in the F-Type are good for an average-sized adult. Six-footers will find it uncomfortable as headroom is slightly less than its rivals. Also, the cabin is nicely insulated from the outside world, keeping the passengers cozy.

Both the BMW M2 and the Mercedes-AMG C43 offer two more seats than the F-Type but they are not suitable for adults. The interior dimensions of the Porsche 718 Cayman are unknown but it offers adequate space for its occupants. The M2 offers more headroom than the F-Type, which is perfectly suitable for six-footers.
2017 Jaguar F-Type Infotainment System
All the models of the Jaguar F-Type come standard with an 8-inch touchscreen display that supports SiriusXM, Bluetooth connectivity, a single-disc CD player, HD radio, auxiliary audio input, and a USB port. Audiophiles will love the sound quality from the Meridian premium audio system with 12 speakers. InTouch Control apps let you use the infotainment system through your smartphone via a USB connection.
The touchscreen responds late to the user's inputs while using the navigation system and the graphics are not clean either. Ergonomics is beyond good as all the controls are within easy reach of the driver. There is no Apple CarPlay or Android Auto but you get an SD card reader. But honestly who cares. If you are in an F-Type and you missing your phone, then you're doing something wrong.

2017 Jaguar F-Type Cargo Capacity
The Jaguar F-Type is a sports car, so you can't expect a good cargo capacity. It offers only 11 cubic feet of cargo space in its trunk, which is still decent for a sports car. It can easily carry two large carry-on bags. A power liftgate is also available as an optional accessory. You also get some additional storage under the load floor.
The hatchback form of the F-Type is also very practical compared to a traditional trunk. It makes it easier to put large items in the back. However, the loading lip is not flat which makes it difficult to load the cargo. Speaking of interior storage, you will find a small storage cubby between the two seats. The door pockets are very small while the glovebox is decently sized.

No other competitor can match the cargo offering of the F-Type. The closest to it is the Mercedes-AMG C43 and it is closely followed by the BMW M2. At 9.7 cubic feet, the Porsche 718 Cayman is the least practical vehicle. Apparently, these German rivals offer a bit more interior storage than the F-Type.
