If you change battery's you have to go to Honda to get the radio to work again, need a ignition switch or anything done electrical, have to go to shop and pay to have it reset, they try to make it to where you can't have work done elsewhere Read More

I'm surprised by every review that says this car is quiet. Mine growls every time I step o the gas. Not sure if its the engine or CVT, but it's by far the loudest acceleration in a car that I've ever driven. Mine has 1200 miles and I'm already considering trading it in.Read More

It comes standard with a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that produces 190 horsepower and 179 lb-ft of torque, paired with a CVT that provides smooth and efficient power delivery. The CR-V is available in both front-wheel and all-wheel drive configurations, and it offers a comfortable and refined ride that is well-suited for daily driving.

The cabin is spacious and features high-quality materials, as well as a variety of tech features. This includes a touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration and a WiFi hotspot. It also has a suite of driver assistance features such as adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, and lane departure warning.

Overall, the 2022 Honda CR-V is a well-rounded crossover that excels in comfort, fuel efficiency, and safety. It offers plenty of practicality for families or individuals who need a reliable vehicle that can handle various tasks, from commuting to road trips. The CR-V is a strong contender in the crowded crossover segment with minimal complaints and zero recalls, further solidifying its reputation for dependability.

2022 Honda CR-V User Complaints and Problems

Engine and Mechanical Problems

  • Engine - One user reported that they heard a knocking sound from the engine while driving, upon inspection the engine oil levels were low but no warning light was illuminated during the incident.

Electrical Problems

  • Infotainment - Some users have reported that the infotainment system is laggy, and the touch screen can sometimes be unresponsive.
  • Warning lights - There was an issue with the front camera radar system. One user reported that several unknown warning lights illuminated the instrument panel.
  • Lane departure warning system - When the vehicle is parked in hot weather conditions, the car's interior gets hot, which causes the lane departure warning system to malfunction—specifically, the lane departure warning light illuminates and beeps, which can be distracting while driving.

Safety Problems

  • Acceleration without warning - One 2022 CR-V owner experienced a safety problem where the vehicle unexpectedly accelerated while parking and crashed into a wall, causing significant damage to the vehicle's front end. No warning lights were illuminated before the vehicle accelerated.
  • Lane keep assist system - The problem appears to be connected to a similar malfunction with the Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS), which indicates a lane departure even when driving on a surface with no lanes.
