We Recommend

The LS trim offers a step up from the Work Truck with more amenities and features included as standard. The V6 engine is adequate enough, but if you are looking for maximum trailering capacity, we suggest you go for the bigger V8 along with the Max Trailering package which can help you tow up to 11,000 pounds. If you are more interested in offroading, the Z71 package is a must.

2017 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Regular Cab vs 2017 Nissan Titan

Despite having an almost equal price, it is the mighty 5.6 L V8 that makes the Nissan Titan more powerful than the Chevrolet Silverado 1500. Moreover, the Nissan Titan’s 0-60 mph acceleration time, ground clearance, cargo volume, and towing capacity is better than that of the Silverado 1500.

2017 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Regular Cab vs 2017 Ford 150 Regular Cab

Coming with a price tag of $27,110, the Ford-150 XL is yet another competitor of the Silverado 1500. On the upsides, the Ford-150 has faster acceleration, lesser 60-0 mph stopping distance, more fuel economy, larger cargo capacity, and higher towing capacity as compared to the 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. On the other hand, the power, torque, interior space, and payload capacity of Ford-150 falls a little short in front of Chevrolet’s Silverado.

2017 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Regular Cab vs 2017 Toyota Tundra

The Toyota Tundra SR also puts up a competition to the Silverado with its numerous impressive features and specifications. First, looking at the price tag, the Toyota Tundra is nearly $900 more expensive than the 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. However, for the additional price, the Tundra offers a much powerful 5.7L engine, whose power and torque figures are just outstanding. Additionally, the Tundra is a better option over the Silverado 1500 when it comes to the ground clearance, towing capacity, payload capacity, and acceleration figures.

Superb power, customizable and family friendly crash test rating.

Pros - ["Comes with a tow package", "5 star crash rating", "Sleek design compared to other years"]

Cons - ["Transmission, hard shift to 3rd gear", "Gas mileage", "Cab room in back"]

I love basically everything about my Silverado, if I drive like a normal person I can even get around 23 mpg on freeway. The power is always there and maintenance is easy as long as you research. It has never broken down or failed me yet.
