The engine on service here is a familiar 1.8L inline-4 engine supported by a 1.5 kWh battery pack. Mated to a continuously variable automatic transmission, it makes 182 horsepower and 172 lb-ft of torque. The combined fuel economy remains same where it returns 29 MPG combined just like the gasoline variant. The performance of the Malibu Hybrid also improves here, with the car accelerating from 0 to 60 MPH in 7.5 seconds. Chevrolet offers the same 10 colors for the Malibu Hybrid.
