Overview

The 2018 Cadillac CTS-V makes for an excellent contender in the midsize sedan class. With a standalone trim on offer, the Cadillac CTS-V has a base MSRP of $86,295 and competes directly with the BMW M5 Sedan, and the Mercedes-Benz AMG E 63 S Sedan, and the Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat. Only a 6.2L supercharged V8 engine is offered, mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. Together, they produce 640 horsepower and 630 lb-ft of torque. Accelerating from 0-60 in 3.8 seconds, the CTS-V maintains a combined fuel economy of 17 MPG. Cadillac offers the CTS-V in 6 stunning colors, with the Vector Blue Metallic being our particular favorite.

Buying Advice

With no choice left in trims, the Cadillac hasn’t done much in terms of optional packages and equipment as well. With that being said, we recommend stretching up to the optional Carbon Fiber package ($6,250) and Luxury package ($2,500). The latter adds all the creature comfort features like tri-zone climate control, heated rear seats, etc, whereas the former as the name suggests adds carbon fiber hood vent, front splitter, rear diffuser, spoiler, etc.
