We Recommend

With a perfect mix of desirable features and power surge in comparison to the rest of the lineup for its cost, the 2022 Model 3 Range stands out to be the most prominent Model 3 2022 configuration.

The likes of an electric range varying from 267-358 miles and a 0-60 MPH sprint of 3.2-5.8 seconds make it capable to compete against the Porsche Taycan's acceleration. Even the BMW i4 gets pretty tough challenge when Model 3 comes at its top speed mark of 140-162 MPH.

Buying Advice

The 2022 Tesla Model 3 Longe Range seems to be a perfect fit with its balanced power curve, range coverage, and overall interior tech-ends. The functionality and dynamics are also spot on for this electric drive.

Comparative Analysis against Competition

The Model 3 delivers an impressive driving experience compared to other non-luxury electric vehicles- Edmunds

The Tesla Model 3 2022 is a mix of power and functionality while keeping the build quality unabashed. That said, its interior finish and infotainment technology are simply worth an investment as well. However, its reliability quotient with a JD Power Rating of 78 might make some to question over its credibility altogether.

Speaking of investments, the 2022 Tesla Model 3 price in maintenance can be $2,110-$2,707 while repairing charges $2,103 after 5 years. On top of that, a depreciation of $33,615 is certain for the Model 3 Performance that goes down to the $27,464 for the Model 3 Long Range.

Buying Advice

The 2022 Tesla Model 3 Longe Range seems to be a perfect fit with its balanced power curve, range coverage, and overall interior tech-ends. The functionality and dynamics are also spot on for this electric drive.

The Tesla Model 3 is one of the most efficient EVs in the market today. Even the entry-level Model 3 offers competitive MPGe figures and range in the segment. According to the EPA, the numbers are 138 MPGe in the city, 126 MPGe on a highway, and 122 MPGe combined. Interior
5.0/10

The Model 3's interior is minimalist and handsome, almost Scandinavian in terms of its look and feel- Kelly Blue Book

The 2022 tesla model 3 interior is very minimalistic. This five-seater gets leatherette upholstery with white contrast stitching. The front seats are 12-way power-adjustable with standard heated functionality. Even the steering wheel is wrapped in synthetic leather but it is power-adjustable.

The sloping roofline cuts the headroom at the back by a margin but you won't find Model 3 complaints in terms of legroom. The aforementioned 15-inch touchscreen display makes the other rivals look completely outdated along with a 14-speaker sound system for higher trims.

Exterior
6.0/10

The Model 3 won’t easily be mistaken for another car- Kelly Blue Book

Tesla’s designs have always garnered a lot of praise, and this Model 3 is no different. The Model 3's exterior is minimalistic overall with a sleek, aerodynamic shape to sweep the wind. It’s a good-looking car with a futuristic look at first glance. As it lacks an engine, the bonnet plunges sharply. The body too is a smooth organic shape with minimal detailing. In profile too, the Model 3 looks swoopy and almost coupe-like. It sits 5.5 inches from the ground, which is good enough for a sedan.

The curves of the car give it a much more evolved and sportier look. The pop-out handles close flush with the body. Speaking of wheels,18-inch Aero wheels are standard but they can be upgraded to 19-inch Sport wheels. The Performance variant gets 20-inch Uberturbine wheels as standard. At 113.2 inches, the Model 3 sports a wide wheelbase for stable handling. Around the back, it gets a more distinctive design The charge pot flat which is a part of the rear light cluster is neatly concealed.

The Tesla Model 3 offers great safety plus a full ensemble of technology- The Car Connection

NHTSA has rated the 2022 Tesla Model 3 with an overall rating of 5 out of 5 stars. Since it is a carryover model, we are considering the 2021 model's IIHS ratings. The sedan was honored with the Top Safety Pick+ award which is the agency's top accolade as it received top ratings in all tests. We expect the same ratings for the 2022 model as well.

The Model 3 offers a decent list of standard driver-assist features. The main highlight of this vehicle is its full self-driving capability that includes a set of driver aids. This add-on is available on all trims for an extra cost of $10,000.  This feature is top-notch in whatever real-life situation arises but it still requires a driver to operate. Some main safety features are:

  • Adaptive cruise control
  • Forward collision warning
  • Lane departure warning
  • Automatic emergency braking
  • Blind-spot monitoring system
  • Full self-drive (summoning the car, full auto parking, traffic light recognition, autonomous highway driving, automatic lane change)
  • Pedestrian detection
  • 360-degree camera
