The RAM 2500 Regular Cab is available in three trims – Tradesman, Big Horn and Lone Star. There are two engine options on offer – a 6.4L HEMI V8 gasoline and a 6.7L Cummins Inline-6 diesel. Being a pick-up truck, it doesn't offer a lot of creature comforts or customization yet the other segments make up for that.
The Tradesman is the base trim that has been equipped with the Electronic Stability Control and Trailer Sway Control. Both the aforementioned are simply a must from their dynamics and daily commuting perspective. The Lone Star gets the Heated Front Seats which serve best in cold weather conditions. The Heated Seats and Wheel Group has been kept optional in it.

The Big Horn, as the name suggests, is the horned bull among them with exceptional feedback and control at the driving end. The Roll Stability Control for countering body roll and Hydraulic Power-Assist Steering to react against the uncertainties with ease have been integrated into it.
The ParkSense Rear Park-Assist System further increases the blue-chip character and puts it in the same ballpark as other top-tier performers in this category. One can have 17” X 7.5” wheels with the LT245/70SR17 tires for it. Therefore, a subscription to so much in one is something one may experience.
Which Trim should you buy?
It is recommended to buy the Lone Star as it is pretty much comparable to the Big Horn in terms of the offer. Name it and it has it, it is as simple as that, and that too at a relatively lower price tag. Simultaneously, it takes a leap over the base Tradesman in that same scaling. The additional safety touch and proper dynamics and controlling character among them make the Lone Star a better pick.
