The 2023 Nissan Titan XD comes with a 5.6L V8 engine that makes 400 horsepower and 413 lb-ft of torque. The standard transmission is a 9-speed automatic transmission that quotes all the power to all four of its wheels. When it comes to towing capacity, the Titan XD has a significant drawback. Its maximum towing capacity without a hitch is only 10,880 lbs, which is somewhat inadequate when compared to comparable pickup trucks. With a gooseneck hitch, its towing capability is still only 11,040 lbs, which is not too much. The pickup truck reaches the 60 MPH mark in just 7.4 seconds. It covers the quarter-mile distance in 15.7 seconds. The top speed that the Titan XD reaches is 122 MPH.

The 2023 Nissan Titan XD offers a better power delivery as compared to the Chevrolet Silverado, and GMC Sierra 2500HD, Ford F-250 SuperDuty. The torque output is, sadly, the least among the rivals. The Nissan Titan XD Cab was the slowest to reach the 60 MPH mark as compared to its rivals. The information for the Silverado 2500HD, Sierra 2500HD, and F-250 regarding the quarter-mile timing is yet to be determined. 

2023 Nissan Titan XD Ride and Handling

The Nissan Titan XD’s suspension has been tuned in such a way that you will have no problem taking it off-road. It absorbs all the undulations with ease and ensures that the occupants remain comfortable throughout the ride. Sadly, this superpower lags behind the towing capability that is expected from a truck in this segment. The steering wheel is decently responsive, but at high speeds, the feedback becomes negligible. Around the corner, the body roll is evident, but it is manageable if the truck is driven at slow speeds. The noise insulation is sufficient in the Nissan Titan XD, which helps it curb all the outside wind noises.

2023 Nissan Titan XD Braking Performance

The 2023 Nissan Titan XD comes with vented disc brakes on all four of its wheels. Depending on the nature of the drive, the brake pads of the Titan XD last about 20,000-60,000 miles. It comes with 14.2 in front brake rotors and 14.4 in rear brake rotors and the brake pedal feedback feels to be accurate. The Mega Cab comes with additional features like Hill Hold Control, Anti-lock Brake System (ABS), and brake assist.

The front brake rotors on the 2023 Nissan Titan XD are larger than those on the Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD and the GMC Sierra 2500HD. The largest braking rotor available on the front end is the Ford F-250 SuperDuty. It has not yet been determined how far the Nissan Titan XD, Sierra 2500HD, and F-250 SuperDuty can stop while at 60 MPH. 

Sources claim that the standard 5.6L V8 engine offers the best average of 12.3 MPG. The 2023 Nissan Titan XD's city, highway, and combined fuel efficiency ratings have not yet been determined because the EPA does not measure fuel economy for commercial vehicles with GVWRs larger than 8500 pounds, such as the Nissan Titan XD 3500. The standard tank is 26 gallons, which is small as per the segment.

Due to the same reason as the Nissan Titan XD, the fuel economy data for the Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD, GMC Sierra 2500HD, and Ford F-250 SuperDuty is not officially available. In addition, it is yet unknown how far the crew cabs can go with a full tank of fuel both in cities and on highways. One thing is for sure when compared to its rivals, the Nissan Titan XD has the smallest standard fuel tank. 

The 2023 Nissan Titan XD does not have the best interior in the segment, but it is practical enough to serve the purpose. Most of the buyers of pickup trucks don't mind a slight compromise in the cabin anyway. The pickup truck comes with leather upholstery with power-adjustable seats. Moreover, as you go up the lineup you get Ventilated front seats, Heated rear seats, Upgraded leather upholstery, and Wood trim. 

Compared to its rivals, the Nissan Titan XD has less front and rear shoulder and legroom. Best legroom is also available in the Ford F-250 SuperDuty amongst the rivals. The Ford F-250 and Nissan Titan XD's cabins are side by side. The Nissan Titan XD does not have the front seat massage option, although the F-250 SuperDuty does. The diagonal infotainment display in the Sierra 2500's interior gives the space a more upscale and luxurious appearance.

The 2023 Nissan Titan XD comes with an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports essential features such as Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. There are six speakers sound setup, and recently, the brand added a Wi-Fi hotspot. The Pro-4X trim gets a larger 9-inch touchscreen. It gets onboard navigation features and a SiriusXM radio. A 12-speaker Fender setup has also been added to the audio system. There are two USB ports up front, and the back passengers can use another two.

The Sierra 2500HD, the Silverado 2500HD, and the Ford F-250 are all longer as compared to the Nissan Titan XD. Among the four rivals, the Nissan Titan XD has the shortest wheelbase. Each pickup truck features a bulked-up front appearance and a robust exterior but the exterior style of the Sierra 2500HD and Ford F-250 SuperDuty is comparable as per the styling. The headlights on the Ford, though, are more attractive.

In terms of power output, the Nissan Titan XD outperforms the Chevy Silverado 2500HD. The latter, however, has more torque and roomy rear headroom. Compared to the Nissan Titan XD, the Chevrolet Silverado's front cabin is more spacious. The Silverado exterior comes with a blocky design, and the Nissan Titan XD's exterior design appears a bit less appealing. Additionally, The Silverado 2500HD offers a better acceleration from 0 to 60 MPH. 

2023 Nissan Titan XD vs 2023 GMC Sierra 2500HD Crew Cab

Compared to the 2023 GMC Sierra 2500HD, the Nissan Titan XD produces slightly less power delivery. The GMC Sierra 2500HD also offers more torque than the Titan XD. Furthermore, it offers a quicker acceleration by reaching the 0-60 MPH mark in a shorter time. The Sierra 2500HD has a cabin that is much roomier. It is also about $2000 cheaper than the Nissan Titan XD.

2023 Nissan Titan XD vs 2022 Ford F-250 SuperDuty Crew Cab

The Ford F-250 SuperDuty offers more room in the cabin as compared to the Nissan Titan XD. It also delivers more torque output. When it comes to acceleration, the Ford F-250 SuperDuty is slightly quicker to reach the 60 MPH mark. Furthermore, the ride and handling capability of the Titan XD feels a bit subpar than the F-250, thanks to Ford’s long experience with constructing off-roading monsters.

The Nissan Titan XD competes with some of the most sold trucks and stands tall with its V8 powertrain. It is known to provide one of the most powerful standard engines in this segment. However, in other aspects, we have other rivals to outperform. The handling of the Titan XD feels nice, but can’t beat the Silverado or the F-250. The interior of the Titan XD is pragmatic, but not as plush as the Sierra 3500HD. On the outside, we would prefer Silverado 2500HD due to its attractive front fascia. On the safety front, the Nissan provides plenty of features that you might also find in other trucks too. Hence, in our opinion, it would be better if you go with either of the rivals, if going for a purchase.
