Overview

The 2017 Mercedes Benz CLA-Class Sedan makes for an excellent contender in the subcompact sedan. With a standalone trim on offer, the Mercedes Benz CLA-Class has a base MSRP of $32,400, with prices going all the way up to MSRP $34,400, competing directly with the Audi A3 and the Acura ILX. Only a 2.0L turbocharged inline-4 engine is offered, mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Together, they produce 208 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. Accelerating from 0-60 in 6.4 seconds, the CLA Class maintains a combined fuel economy of 29 MPG. Mercedes Benz offers the CLA Class in 9 stunning colors, with the Alveston Red being a particular favorite of ours.

Buying Advice

You only have options between the drivetrain offered. In our opinion, the all-wheel drive 4Matic trim offers better grip and handling even in rainy conditions just for an additional $2,000. On the features front, both variants come with similar standard features such as dual-zone automatic climate control, MBTex simulated-leather upholstery, automatic wipers,tilt-and-telescoping leather-wrapped steering wheel, memory functions and four-way driver lumbar adjustment, and so on.
