Overview

The new 2012 Mazda 3 gets plenty of updates this year and the most important one includes a new optional 2-liter engine that continues alongside the older 2-liter and & 2.5-liter engines. Apart from that, there are new trim levels on offer, an additional list of features for each trim, and slightly revised interior and exterior styling. Mazda has also introduced a more practical hatchback model this year. The 2012 Mazda 3 price starts at $15,995 which includes the $795 destination fee. The price has also dropped by $600 this year over the previous model year

Featuring a 4-trim lineup of SV, Sport, Touring, and Grand Touring, the 2012 Mazda 3 MSRP can be an expense of $15,995-$24,495 this season. Having said that, it simply translates to the fact that the range-leader 2012 Mazda 3 Grand Touring will cost you $8,500 more than the SV for enhanced specs and assets.

We Recommend

Opting for the 2012 Mazda 3 Touring model makes the most sense to buyers as it offers a comprehensive list of features, gets an option for the new SkyActiv engine, and yet keeps the price from soaring too high.

While the 2012 Mazda 3 specs remain the same for most parts, the new engine with more power output does bring an air of freshness to the compact sedan. The 2012 Mazda 3 MPG ratings are also better with the new engine option. While the 3 sedan doesn't offer the practicality of the Subaru Impreza, nor the spacious appeal of the Chevrolet Cruze, it gets a performance edge over its rivals. The Ford Focus too offers a slightly sporty profile, but struggles in terms of frugality.

2012 Mazda 3 for sale

The Mazda 3 lease options begin at a monthly subscription fee of just $234 for a tenure of 36 months and a 10,000-mile annual mileage limit. The 2012 Mazda 3 finance offers start at 3.9% APR for qualified buyers and the premium starts at $276/month for a 60-month period. A down payment of $1,750 is required for both the buying options.

For budget-oriented buyers, the used Mazda 3 can be availed of with a base price of $1,200. Going for older model years like the 2011 Mazda 3 could be a matter of $2,299 and Mazda 3 2011 can cost as much as $16,590 along with a listing of up to 287 in total.
