Engine and Performance
9.0/10

Two engine options are offered on the 2014 Range Rover. The base model is powered by a supercharged V6 engine generating 340 horsepower and 332 lb-ft of torque. Second, there is a supercharged V8 with a larger displacement generating 510 horsepower as well as 461 lb-ft of torque. The 8-speed automatic transmission that runs all four wheels is standard on both engines.

The V6 engine will propel the Range Rover from 0-60mph in 9.2 seconds, but the V8 engine will offer even more power. Off-road, it performs even better than its competitors, with four different modes of drive for different types of terrain. Those with off-road equipment which has been upgraded will have low-range gearing and will be able to detect the terrain type automatically. It is capable of towing 7,716 pounds.

Fuel Economy
5.0/10

With the new supercharged 3.0-liter V-6 engine, the 2014 Land Rover Range Rover ditches its otherwise normally aspirated V-8. This results in improved fuel efficiency. Yet, it isn't the most efficient option in this segment. The 2014 Range Rover offers us a city mileage of 17 mpg, which improves to 23 mpg on the highway. Therefore, we get 19 miles per gallon on the combined trip. Furthermore, it also offers a fuel tank capacity of 22.5 gallons, so a maximum range of 517 miles can be achieved.

Interior
9.9/10

The 2014 Range Rover is equipped with a range of cutting-edge technology and interior refinements. The Range Rover offers a rich, high-end interior and the quietest ride in its class. For 2014, the Range Rover gets a new look inside, with new finishes and a more spacious glove compartment. The Range Rover’s modern interior features warm wood accents and high-end finishes. That means nothing is out of place, and everything is thoughtfully situated for maximum comfort and style.

There is room for five people in the 2014 Range Rover. Both the front as well as the rear seats provide a good amount of room for all passengers. While it falls behind its competitors in the headroom department, that doesn't seem to be a major issue. With a cargo capacity of 32.1 cu-ft, this vehicle can easily handle a week's vacation.
