Overview

The 2013 Honda Crosstour Crossover is a midsize SUV offered in 4 trims, starting off at a base MSRP of $27,230. For that price, it mainly competes with the Ford Edge SUV, the Nissan Murano SUV, and the Toyota Venza. Between 4 trims, the Crosstour offers 2 powertrains. The base engine is a 2.4L Inline-4 capable of making 192 horsepower and 162 lb-ft of torque. If more power is required, there is also a 278 horsepower-making 3.5L V6. The former engine is mated to a 5-speed automatic transmission and the latter is connected to a 6-speed automatic transmission. The Crosstour reaches 60 mph from zero in 9.2 seconds on its base engine, which gets pumped up to 7.1 seconds with the 3.5L V6 engine. Depending on the powertrain, the Crosstour can manage a combined fuel economy between 22 and 25 mpg. While we're on the topic of choices, the 7 striking colors the Crosstour comes in really pull you towards itself.

Buying Advice

The front-wheel drive is standard throughout the lineup. However, the top-ranking EX-L V6 trim also offers an optional 4-wheel drive system. Furthermore, it comes with all the safety features offered on the 2015 Crosstour lineup including lane departure warning and forward collision alert. That said, our recommendation is the EX V6 trim if you want to mind the budget. If you can loosen it a bit, then we strongly recommend the EX-L V6.
