Launched first in the year 2011, the Chrysler 200 gets a subtle exterior design, a powerful V6 engine alongside composed ride and handling. Even on the inside, the Chrysler 200 feels more upmarket than its segment rivals like the Toyota Camry, Hyundai Sonata, and Dodge Avenger.
We would suggest you purchase the Touring trim even though it is slightly more expensive than the base model. However, when you compare the overall benefits that come with this trim, it's well worth the additional price. This trim offers a lot of automatic luxury features and a multitude of options are also available.
However, if you have a different taste in mind and want a sporty sedan with some extra power, then we recommend purchasing the highest-end model equipped with a V6 but be prepared- this option will cost you approximately $3,000 extra.
Fresh to the core following its launch in 2011 though, the 2013 Chrysler 200 doesn’t add any major change to its tray. No problem at all though, since the 200 is already a neatly packed machine. Apart from its core humble attributes, the Chrysler 200 also comes loaded with a plethora of available features. While it checks most boxes right, it's let down by its restricted cargo and practicality. At a starting MSRP of $19,695, the 2013 Chrysler 200 still packs decent value for those looking for a comfortable daily commuting experience.
The 2013 Chrysler 200 is available in the same trim levels that were previously listed. Among them are the LX, Touring, and Limited trim levels. The base version of the Chrysler 200 is more basic than the top-of-the-line trims. In the base trim, most features must be adjusted manually, and the numbers of those features are also somewhat limited. Next up, you have the Touring version which provides more comfort in terms of features.
As an example, it has climate control, leather seating, automatic LED headlamps, and many other luxuries. Lastly, you have the top-of-the-class Limited version which happens to be the most well-equipped version of all three trims so far mentioned here. It comes with a V6 engine and other features almost identical to the Touring trim. Moreover, the Touring and Limited trims offer various optional features like a sunroof, 18.0-inch wheels, UConnect phone, heated seats, and many more.

Most of the 2013 Chrysler 200 trims are powered by a 2.4-liter Inline-4 engine that produces 173 horsepower and 166 lb-ft of torque. On the other hand, the Limited trims come with a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine that produces 283 horsepower. The power produced by the base trim is respectable considering their price and segment competition. On the other hand, this V6 is one of the most powerful and efficient engines Chrysler has made in a long time.
The base trim is equipped with a 4-speed automatic transmission, whereas the other trim features a 6-speed Autoshift transmission. In the 200 series of Chrysler, all trim levels are available with front-wheel drive only, and all-wheel drive is not yet an option. The Chrysler 200's acceleration is very good and competitive with the rest of its rivals with 0-60 MPH coming up in 8.5 seconds. While that’s surely acceptable for a comfortable daily driving midsize sedan it is still a bit lower than some of its rivals.

With a base price of $19,695, the Chrysler 200 is the cheapest in its segment while in terms of horsepower and torque, the Hyundai Sonata has the highest output of 198hp and 184lb.-ft of torque. The Dodge Avenger and Chrysler are mechanical twins with a similar powertrain setup and identical outputs, yet the former is a tad bit slower.
The Chrysler 200’s fuel economy is not on the same level as some of its rivals, which are highly conservative. However, the Chrysler 200 still manages to go 21 MPG in the city and 24 MPG on the highway. In combined driving conditions, the 200 delivers 24 MPG which is not the most frugal in its segment. Even in terms of fuel tank size and driving range, the 200 is not very generous among the pack here with a 16.9-gallon fuel tank translating into 405 miles of combined driving range.

Among the segment rivals here, both the Toyota Camry & Hyundai Sonata provide excellent gas mileage with 28 MPG combined fuel economy each. On the other hand, the Sonata has the largest tank in its class, measuring 18.5 gallons, providing it with the best fuel range in its class. The similarities between the 2013 Avenger and the 200 extend to their fuel efficiency as well, with no difference whatsoever.
On the inside, the 2013 Chrysler 200 welcomes you with a warm cabin. The cabin feels roomy and upscale with an attractive layout. Though you will find some scratchy plastics here and there, the higher models do incorporate some soft-touch materials on the dash and armrests. The all-black interior theme with a minimalistic dashboard design work well with the overall layout while the gloss black inserts alongside an analog watch on the dash adds to the upscale vibe inside. The 200 also gets a healthy suite of features like power windows, cruise control, automatic climate control, powered front seats, and more.
Talking about seats, the front chairs are wide and supportive with a decent amount of room on offer, if not best. We must also acknowledge that the Chrysler 200 doesn't have the most spacious interior in its segment. This sedan's front and rear space feel cramped, and long rides may be a bit uncomfortable for five people. Another disadvantage of this sedan is its cargo space, which is not as impressive as its rivals'. Taking the Chrysler 200 as a whole, it is indeed a great sedan. However, one thing that needs to be improved is the amount of interior space.

Several years have passed since the Chrysler 200 was last redesigned, but a facelift in 2011 helped it compete with other luxury sedans. A few changes have been made to the 2013 Chrysler 200's exterior, but the basic design remains the same. Chrysler's latest models have a more modern look with slightly more pronounced grilles, headlights, and bumpers.
The rear end of the new 200 has also been completely redesigned with larger and more distinctive tail lights than ever before. im in love with my minivan i can fit my lil family in it and when we go take our beach trips i can take all of my lip family in my minivan instead of leaving some home with there aunt yall better go get you one its really nice how my kids can ride and watch the build in tvs
