Competing in the compact sedan segment, the 2013 Audi S4 is a direct competitor to the Volvo S60 T6 sedan, the BMW 3 Series 335i sedan, and the Cadillac ATS Luxury sedan with the V6 engine. The S4 starts at an MSRP of $47,600, going up to $53,850, with 2 trims in the lineup. Each trim has a 3.0L Supercharged V6 engine and a 6-speed manual transmission, producing 333 horsepower and 325 lb-ft of torque. Buying Advice

If you are not a manul person then Audi also offers an optional 7-speed dual-clutch automated manual transmission for $1,400 which also boosts the combined fuel economy by 1 MPG. That said, our recommendation is the entry-level Premium Plus trim if you are satisfied with the standard safety and convenience features. If you want more then you will have to move towards the pricey Prestige trim. It comes with an optional Driver Assist Package worth $3,250.
