Overview

The 2013 Mitsubishi Lancer sedan is a compact sedan offered in 5 trims, starting off at a base MSRP of $15,995. For that price, it mainly competes with the Chevrolet Cruze, the Dodge Dart, and the Ford Focus Sedan. Between 5 trims, the Mitsubishi Lanceroffers 3 powertrains. The base engine is a 2.0L Inline-4 engine and a 5-speed manual or a CVTcapable of making 148 horsepower and 145 lb-ft of torque. If more power is required, there is also a 168 horsepower-making 2.4L inline-4 engine with a 5-speed manual or a CVT option. If more power is required there is also a 237 horsepower-making 2.0L turbocharged Inline-4 engine with a 6-speed automatic transmission. The Mitsubishi Lancerreaches 60 MPH from zero in 8.6 seconds on its base engine, which gets pumped up to 8.3 seconds with the 2.4L Inline-4 engine, all the way to 6.0 seconds with the 2.0L turbo Inline-4 engine. Depending on the powertrain, the Mitsubishi Lancer can manage a combined fuel economy between 20 and 29 MPG. While we’re on the topic of choices, the 6 striking colors the Mitsubishi Lancer comes in really pull you towards itself.

Buying Advice

Noticeably the Ralliart trim has the powerful engine out of all the trims and provides a much more kick to the sedan's acceleration. The Ralliart Touring Package suits the best offering heated front bucket seats, a power glass sunroof, rear lip spoiler, etc.
