With its TFSI technology, the 2020 Audi A6 Sedan gives you a power boost and keeps the fuel consumption on the lower side. The 45 TFSI Quattro version gets a 2.0L inline-four cylinder motor borrowed from its younger siblings. It pumps out 248 hp to all 4 wheels via the Quattro AWD system. It outputs a good 273 lb-ft of torque at a much lower 1,600 rpm. It is mated to a 7-speed S Tronic automatic transmission that is slick and responsive.
If you prefer higher performance, then you can go for the 55 TFSI Quattro. It comes with a 3.0L V6 engine combined with a mild hybrid electric motor. It has impressive power figures of 335 horses on the tap and a 369 lb-ft torque that suits its sports sedan profile. With the V6, it makes sure you have enough power to challenge the rivals. Basically, the MHEV system is used for energy regeneration and a start/stop system to improve the efficiency of the engine.
If you stick with the base engine, you'll still be satisfied with the throttle response as it can do 0-60 MPH in 6.1 seconds and covers the quarter-mile in less than 14 seconds. The power-packed V6 does that in just 5.0 seconds and has a much better quarter-mile timing of 13.1 seconds. The A6 has a top speed of 155 MPH which is very much a standard in the premium sedan segment.

The Audi A6 is offered at a slightly higher price than its rivals. It shares its power output with the BMW 530i and the Jaguar XF while the Mercedes E 350 has more power. As the A6 weighs over 4000 lbs, it falls back when it comes to acceleration. The Jaguar XF is surprisingly the fastest one to clock 60 MPH of speed.
Other than the A6, rivals like E 350 and the XF also offer optional V6 engines but with greater power output. Either way, the A6 isn't the fastest sedan yet it is capable of reaching a top speed of 155 MPH whereas the Jaguar XF can't do that.
How well does the 2020 Audi A6 Sedan handle?
Audi sedans are made to deliver sporty handling irrespective of their size. The Audi A6 has a multi-link front and rear suspension that provides proper control both around sharp corners and over different terrains. The Quattro AWD is accompanied by a limited-slip differential that makes it more capable than you'd expect from a vehicle in its segment.
If we talk about ride quality and comfort, Audi is one of the best brands. The 7-Speed STronic automatic with its selectable driving modes gives you the combined convenience of an automatic and thrill of the manual transmission. The Adaptive Chassis package adds an adaptive damping suspension and dynamic all-wheel steering to level up the game.
2020 Audi A6 Sedan Braking Performance
With its higher four-wheel traction via the Quattro AWD, the Audi A6 is supposed to deliver best-in-class braking performance. To ensure that, it has a 4-wheel anti-lock braking system and regenerative brakes for faster and safer braking. With that, you have front and rear vented discs to keep the brakes cool.
The ABS brakes are paired with brake assistance to keep the sedan safe. We have huge 13.3-inch brake rotors for the front wheels whereas the rear has smaller 13.0-inch rotors. With a hefty curb weight of 4,101 lbs, the 2020 A6 is still able to stop in just 111 feet of distance from 60 MPH, which is quite commendable. The hill hold feature prevents the rolling back of the sedan on a sloping surface.

Even after weighing remarkably higher than the rivals, the Audi A6 has a close enough braking distance when compared with them. The reason behind it is its regenerative brakes and the huge brake rotors. In terms of braking performance, the BMW 530i stops within the shortest distance of 108 feet whereas the second spot is shared by both Mercedes E350 and the Jaguar XF with 109 feet of stopping distance.
