Overview

The 2018 Tesla Model 3 pushes on the track with no change along with a $5,000 priced Enhanced Autopilot package.

Featuring a 3-trim lineup of Mid-Range, Long Range, and Performance, the 2018 Model 3 MSRP can be an expense of $46,000-$64,000 this season. Having said that, it simply translates to the fact that the range-leader Model 3 Performance 2018 will cost you $18,000 more than the base Range for enhanced specs and assets.

We Recommend

The Base 2018 Model 3 Mi-Range configuration comes with the best value proposition for the majority.

Coming on the rival row, the Mercedes-Benz C-Class Plug-In and BMW 3 Series Plug-In are some of the closest ones to name. That being said, the Tesla Model 3 range of 260-310 miles is going to further support its overall stance in this marketplace.

2018 Tesla Model 3 Electric for sale

The 2018 Model 3 lease deal can cost you $1,325/month for 36 months with a downpayment of $5,000.

For budget-oriented buyers, the used 2018 Model 3 can be availed of with a base price of $32,400. Going for older model years like the 2019 Model 3 could be a matter of $34,999 and Tesla Model 3 2017 can cost as much as $39,999 along with a listing of up to 6,564 in total.

Buying Advice

The base Mid Range model is the best pick. It offers a decent electric range and agility is also good. If you are looking for more electric range, go for the Long Range model. We also recommend buying the $5,000 Enhanced Autopilot that offers self-driving capability.

Comparative Analysis against Competition

The 2018 Tesla Model 3 has not been rated by JD Power ratings and neither has its previous iteration-2017 Tesla Model 3. Having said that it does not undermine the practicality and reliability that the electric car comes has. The 2018 Model 3 is one of its kind in interior styling, safety, and DAS features. This year we get to see the Tesla Model 3 in a new drivetrain as well - All wheel drive Tesla Model 3, which is an improvement to the rear-wheel-drive 2017 Tesla Model 3. The exhilaration to drive an all wheel electric car has never felt better since the launch of 2018 Tesla Model 3 in the country.

This year too the Tesla Model 3 is coming with 2 additional packages that you can configure on an extra payment of $5000 each. The Premium Upgrades package entails LED Foglights,  heated and power-folding auto-dimming exterior mirrors and  a premium audio system, etc. In addition to that, there is also a Performance Upgrade package if you go for the Performance Tesla Model 3 2018. It entails 20-inch wheels, a lowered suspension and upgraded brakes. On top of that there is also an Enhanced Autopilot option which entails DAS features like automatic lane changing and self-parking, adaptive cruise control and  lane keeping assist.

Buying Advice
10.0/10

We would recommend you to go with the Mid Range RWD battery if your running is low, however if your running in the city is high and you have to daily cover a distance of 60 miles then go for the Long Range trim. If yu have extra money to spare then go for the Performance trim.

2018 Tesla Model 3 vs 2018 Mercedes Benz C Class Hybrid

To our minds, the Tesla Model 3 is the winner in terms of practicality and reliability. The C Class Hybrid is a good luxury car but its target audience is looking for a core all-electric car. In terms of range, the Tesla Model 3 gives stiff competition to the Mercedes Benz C Class Hybrid by offering 260 miles in city and highway both whereas the C Class hybrid when running on gasoline only offers 320 miles. The price of the Model 3 too is $500 cheaper than the 2018 C Class hybrid.

In terms of power and torque, the BMW 3 Series Hybrid has an upper hand, however, the MPG figures of the Tesla Model 3 puts matter to rest of whether to buy a Tesla Model 3 over BMW 3 Series. The cargo capacity of the Tesla Model 3 is higher than the 2018 BMW 3 Series Hybrid. The ride and handling of the Tesla Model 3 is smoother than 2018 BMW 3 Series.

Final Verdict
9.0/10

The Tesla Model 3 2018 is a great buy for those individuals who have a lot of running in the city as well as on the highway. This electric sedan has a rigid body and chassis as well as tons of safety and DAS features that would account for people choosing it over its rivals. I love the electric charging the range is decent 280mi summer 230 winter. The annoying thing is the somewhat poor construction of the caron minor things. For example I dropped my charger 2 feet on the trunk and it dented. The driverside window control broke because they used a plastic tab instead of a metal one. The the door handles may look cool but the design is unreliable and dirt gets in them...
