Overview

The 2018 Mitsubishi Mirage Hatchback makes for an excellent contender in the subcompact hatchback class. With 3 trims on offer, the Mitsubishi Mirage hatchback has a base MSRP of $13,395, with prices going all the way up to MSRP $16,595, competing directly with the Honda Fit, the Toyota Yaris, and the Kia Rio. Only a 1.2L Inline 3 engine is offered, however, there#39;s a choice between a 5-speed manual transmission and a continuously variable-speed automatic transmission (only on the base ES trim). Together, they produce 78 horsepower and 74 lb-ft of torque. Accelerating from 0-60 in 12.8 seconds, the Mirage hatchback maintains a combined fuel economy of 39 MPG. Mitsubishi offers the Mirage hatchback in 8 stunning colors, with the Starlight Silver being a particular favorite of ours.

Buying Advice

Since its main selling point is its affordable price tag, we'll go ahead and recommend the base ES trim level as it is the most affordable trim level of the bunch. While one can expect such an affordable vehicle to be practically bare-boned, the Mirage hatchback ES offers a fair amount of driving aids and convenience features.

              A Fun Car To Drive

Pros - ["gets good gass mileage", "is fun to drive"]

Cons - ["i prefer a hatchback", "not enough storage space"]

My G4 runs great and is dependable. It has a 3-cylinder engine, which gets great mileage, yet is still peppy and can get out of its own way. The car is very comfortable, it fits my 6 foot frame quite well.
