The 2018 Fiat 500 Hatchback makes for an excellent contender in the subcompact hatchback class With 2 trims on offer, the Fiat 500 Hatchback has a base MSRP of $16,245, with prices going all the way up to an MSRP of $19,745, competing directly with the Mini HardTop 2 door Hatchback, the Honda Fit hatchback, and the Volkswagen Beetle. Only a 1.4L Inline-4 engine is offered, mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. A 6-speed automatic transmission is offered as an option. Together, they produce 135 horsepower and 150 lb-ft of torque. Accelerating from 0-60 in 8.1 seconds, the 500 Hatchback maintains a combined fuel economy of 30 MPG. Fiat offers the 500 Hatchback in 11 stunning colors, with the Jazz blue pearl being a particular favorite of ours.

Buying Advice

Fiat offers the 500 in two trim levels and we think the base Pop trim will suffice all your needs and preferences in a hatchback unless you fancy luxury. If that’s the case, you can go with the top Lounge trim that adds opulence by adding features such as the fixed glass roof, automatic climate control, leather upholstery, satellite radio, rear parking sensors, and heated front seats.
